“would go there again anytime, and I enjoyed the Stuffed Chicken with Mashed potatoes, delicious !”
“They also have a good staff and you get large portions.”
“thought the food was pretty good, and you get huge portions, luckily they warn you.”
“The service can be slow on a busy night, and the food seems like it might have been made up far in advance.”
Came here at 5:30 pm on a Sunday with my wife and toddler. Got seated right away as there was not a rush. For over 20 minutes no one even came to pour water, take an order, or give us another high chair (ours was broken). We left in disgust at the terrible service. When my wife spoke with the manager she did not at all seem concerned. Never going back. For the past few years my company has ordered food from here, and I am going to put a stop to it.
Good food - fun atmosphere. I was invited to a family party at Maggiano's in one of their banquet rooms. Decent service, fabulous food, and even better atmosphere! This is a winner.
This place is PPPRRRefect!. This has the best authentic Italian food our family has ever had. My 3 year old ordered the mac and cheese this was the real stuff no Kraft box here, she ate most of it and then more later that night. The Chicken Marsala was out of this world and the Chicken Spinach Manicotti was to die for. Even the bread was Great! The wine list was extensive. With the lighting, music and romantic atmosphere my husband and I lost ourselves in eachothers eyes until our kids asked us to help with tic tac toe on the kids menu. The best was the service! One all around wonderful experience. A must visit!
Nothing special. The food was quite Bland for Italian. My office went there for our Christmas luncheon, so I got to sample several of their dishes, including the tiramisu and apple crisp desserts. I wasn't impressed. However, I enjoyed the salads and stuffed mushrooms.
Great place to bring out of town guests or gather family and friends. This is a great place to have a glass of wine while you wait for dinner. Live music most nights. The food is excellent. It's not the place for a "romantic" date, but more a gathering of family or friends. On weekends you should call and make a reservation, but if you don't they can usually get you a table within 30 minutes. GREAT wine selection.
Family-friendly restaurant serves up enormous portions of southern Italian favorites in a nostalgic setting..
In Short
Family-style portions and red-checkered tablecloths create a casual, congenial vibe, drawing families and large groups to this feast of Italian-American nostalgia set to a Sinatra soundtrack. The made-from-scratch menu is brimming with traditional dishes, from starters like fried calamari, Parmesan garlic bread and Tuscan-style mussels to spaghetti with meatballs and manicotti with chicken and spinach. For those with room to spare, a piece of sweet tiramisu and a strong cappuccino help finish the meal.
Chipped Piece of Tooth Found in Tiramisu!!!. My husband & I picked up an order of dinner & dessert & took it home to eat this past Saturday night. The evening was going great until we were almost finished consuming our tiramisu. I bit down on something so hard it almost broke my teeth. I opened my mouth & pulled out the object & noticed after careful observation that it was a piece of a chipped tooth. I had my husband inspect my mouth to make sure all of my teeth were intact, and sure enough, they were! I'm not sure how the tooth got in the dessert...buit I did call and speak to the manager on duty to confirm that they had made the tiramisu in house. She did say that they in fact make it daily in house. I used to recommend people to this place all the time...but never again will I do that. Who knows how that tooth got in there & what else is in their food. *yuck*
Great restaurant for italian ....
It was prom night and the food was amazing. We got in fast, and got out fast. The family size portions were huge, and we took A LOT of it home with us. The price for $30.00 and that much food, was great. We spent less than we would have at a restaurant with smaller portions. I would go there again anytime, and I enjoyed the Stuffed Chicken with Mashed potatoes, delicious !
I didn't like the bread though, and the floor was a bit slippery, maybe it was the heels . =D
Bad food, terrible service.. Food was a microwaved lasagne. And only lukewarm. Service was distracted, even when we were directly responding to the waiters own questions. Check had phantom additions, which when challenged were removed, but our Credit Cards were still swiped for the original amounts. Neglecting to challenge TWICE, I just reduced the tip accordingly, leaving it at a still-generous 15%. Days later I found on my credit card statement that the waiter had taken the liberty of increasing his tip without my consent. That says it all really.
Avoid lunchtime family style dining!. I went to an employee goodbye lunch where the food was shared family. style Horrible and pricey. I'd have done better staying home and opening Chef Boy-ar-Dee. However, a friend told me that the individual dining is much better. So avoid the family style dining experience!
