Super Luxury, at Luxury Prices. What you would expect from the Ritz. you pay top dollar but you get top-notch service and every amenity. The location in the heart of Buckhead means traffic, but ditch your car in the parking lot and take taxis or the limo service if you're not going far away. Chantel, the sommelier in the dining room, is one of the best in the world. If you have the money to spend, this place is worth it.
Great food and atmosphere, plus superb service.
Have been a couple of times with my family and everytime it has been a great experience. The food has been very good, menu has something for everyone. The service is awesome, they are always on top of things and ready to please you.
Very romantic
THE NAME SPEAKS FOR ITSELF. One of the top ten hotels in the nation, the Ritz Carlton is consistently service oriented. I am always guaranteed a wonderful, relaxing stay either for business or pleaure. I would highly recommend listing the Ritz Carlton as one of my true favorites.
Not keeping up with Atlanta, cuisine trends, or appropriate pricing. I have been to the Dining Room several times before, and although it is certainly not inexpensive, I felt I always received amazing service and great food, along with elegant ambiance. The last item remains unchanged, but on a recent visit for Valentine's Evening dinner, I was extremely disappointed. First, prices were bumped up to $185 per person (without wine pairings - that was $85 more!) for this "special" menu and the number of courses was REDUCED! There was nothing special about the food choices. The nouvelle cuisine, so popular in the 80's, is foolishly still done here. The fois gras was not seared, but a terrine slice ("touchon"). So the quality was indistiguishable. The second course, halibut, was about a 2-ounce portion of good, although a bit salty, fish. Third course, the very good bison filet, was about a 3-ounce portion. I am still very hungry at this point. The last course was the largest, and when the dessert is a basic souffle and a very odd toasted marshmellow (which even the waiter described as "silly") you have to wonder what they are thinking. Perhaps that sugar, water, and eggs are cheaper than fresh fish and beef? Hmmm... In a town where you now have amazing new restaurants and old favorites, with one of the highest patron-to-restaurant ratios in the country, where you can buy amazing fresh foods (including excellent FRESH fois gras), you have to think the Ritz has lost its touch. People are certainly willing to pay a great deal of money for food, but the quality competition with more medium-priced venues is on! Beef suppliers (and supplies) are more generic - the Ritz doesn't get any more "prime" meat that many other upscale venues. And to spend 2 hours in a restaurant over 4 lean courses, pay $565 for dinner with two drinks, and leave hungry is ridiculous. Where did the quality and the value go? And the best part of dining there, the amazing sommelier, Chantelle, is now off getting her Master's. How this place misses her!
Still Five Stars! Very Personable Sommelier, Chantelle Grilhot! Very Classy!. The Dining Room at The Ritz-Carlton, is still one of the top Dining Rooms in the city. The room's fine linens, antiques, fireplace, and formal French service, create a dining experience you will not forget. And the very personable, Sommelier, Chantelle Grilhot, brings in a youthful approach, in her selection of wine pairings. The chef's eight course tasting menu, features products grown right here in Georgia. This is special occasion dining. And you won't forget the occasion. Service is top-notch, as well as the chef's menu.
Perfection.
Best four hours and $700 that I ever spent on food and wine.
If you choose the 8 course with wine pairing, plan on a cab or room at the Ritz.
Great waitstaff, food and presentation. This intimate dining room is a fabulous fine dining spot. I was very impressed with the attentive waitstaff and the food is phenomenal. Everything was perfectly executed-- from the soup and salads to the entrees and desserts. If you're staying at the Ritz, you don't need to leave the hotel to find a top-notch restaurant...just walk downstairs!!!
The Ritz is the Best in Atl. The Dining Room experience was exceptional! No screaming kids- nothing to distract from the food and your company. The new Chef Arnaud is great and the food is wonderful and fresh and not tiny like alot of other fine dining establishments. The staff was wonderful and attentive and Chantal took us all over the world with the wine pairings. The Exec Chef of the Hotel Eric Chopin even came to say hello at our table. All in all you cannot beat this experience. A place you must take "foodie" visitors when they visit you in Atl. I almost forgot the brunch. Yum Yum Yum is all I can say. Every Sunday is great but on special holidays they really do a great job! Lots of delicious choices! Nothing compares is Atl.
There's only One Ritz Carlton. The Ritz Carlton Brand is unbeatable by far. The brand name itself exudes a since of luxury. This hotel is where it's at, as far as Atlanta. The lobby bar is always the place to be seen after work hours. Every time I stay at the Ritz Carlton Buckhead I feel like a true VIP. They always have a welcome back card from guest relations and some kind of amenity to show they appreciate the business. You know that you are the Ritz Carlton's number one priority.
