The Scene
Whether tastes in your household run from Barbies to board games, or Pokemon to Playstation, the selection is wide and the prices are reasonable. High-volume sales mean that shelves are well stocked, but hot items (think video games and hand-held electronics) tend to sell out quickly. In-store specials and coupon savings help you hang on to more of your hard-earned money.
The Goods
This warehouse-style chain has earned a dubious rep for purveying all things commercial to the tykes. You won't find idiosyncratic handmade toys or imported exotica, but for brand-name toys, popular games and bargains on basic baby supplies like formula, diapers and food, it's hard to beat. When your 8-year-old wants a stuffed Pikachu, there's no better source.
