A neon-lit trip back to the Eisenhower era comes with burgers, shakes and fries..
In Short
Vintage Coca-Cola ads and posters of Life magazine covers succinctly summon up the 1950s, as do this diner's mini-jukeboxes, red vinyl counter stools and sock-hopping staff. Besides fast food staples like hot dogs, cheeseburgers, tuna melts and onion rings, options like the Streamliner (a grilled veggie patty) acknowledge more modern dietary concerns. Even better for kids, sandwiches come wrapped in paper jackets and nearly everything is served on paper plates. No spills. No breaks. No tears.
This Rocket Rocks!. Whenever I go to upscale Phipps to shop, I always go past the upscale restaurants, and straight to Johnny Rocket's. Yes indeed, I'm "Under The Boardwalk" and down by "The Sea Of Love". The music gets me in the mood for one of the best cheeseburgers in town. Throw in a homemade chocolate milkshake, and freshly cut onion rings. It makes me spin arournd on the stool at the counter. And what a friendly staff.
Best Hamburger. Johnny rockets have a great hamburger and fries. The people are always friendly and they constantly feel the atmosphere of the work environment. I always observe the employees enjoying themselves while working in this customer friendly environment.
Fun eating. This was the coolest place I've ever eaten(and I've eaten lots of places). The jukeboxes had great music from the 50s and 60s(when I grew up). They even give everyone a nickel to play their favorite song. The food was good and lots of it- free refills on drinks too!
This is where I wanna be!.
This is a great Burger Restaurant, nothing more nothing less, real 50's feeling, like it a lott, cause we [my wife and I] are from Europe, and have Burger Restaurants too, but it does fit here in Europe that is, but in de US esp. in hot Atlanta
hope to get back soon!
It's a chain. It's a good idea and the food is slightly better than McDonald's, but if you want a decent burger, go to a local joint.
