Editorial Review for Chapter 11 Books – by Kate Caperton
In Short
Markdown prices make this Atlanta bookstore chain a perennial favorite. Bestsellers are always 30 percent off, and Oprah's picks are reliably stocked, too. The store's inventory is discounted somewhere between 11 and 75 percent off the cover price. Decor consists of walls painted "Have a Nice Day" yellow, and there isn't much room to sit down and read. This no-frills approach pays off at the cash register--faster than you can say Clark Howard.
Editorial content is independent of paid advertisers. Any expenses are paid for by Citysearch.

We've been shopping at Chapter 11 Books for years. Started about 25years ago by Barbara Babbit, it remains a fast disappearing independent, in a sea of bookstore chains. There is no place to sit. No gourmet coffee. But what they do have is an intelligent staff, who are constant readers. If you can't remember the name of a book, just tell the staff what you are looking for, and they will come up with it. Great prices on everything. Hard to find books, and ton's of Underground Publications, and Newspaper's. We only go to the Ansley Mall location, since the Peachtree Battle location closed. One of the few places in town where I can find a copy of The Jewish Georgian
Pros: Great Selection! Great Prices!
