I have been shopping at Ansley Wine Merchants over 10 yrs. And I have never felt so humiliated in public till today..So I walked in and say hey to this lady standing at the counter who is tall, heavy, short crunchy hair, blue eyes. Then wanted to share an experience about last night (Sunday) how the place I went after midnight wouldn't sell me any wine because as in Jan 1st 2012 we could by alcoholic bevs in Fulton County. I used the phrase "they are not aware of". Well, instead of a nice manner what I get was a "SNAP"! She goes, "apparently you are not aware of we won't sell alcohol till 12:30 on Sundays" I was shocked the way the tone she used, it was beyond rude like a smack on my cheek!..I said " Oh, i'm not aware of it then, SORRY" and she goes again "either way I don' care! When I mentioned that I didn't like her attitude she raised her voice told me she didn't like mine!..WOW as I walked away from the store without buying anything I was literally outraged!
I make my living as bartender, worked in hospitality industry 20 yrs and if I treat someone like that I'd lose my job on the spot!,,Guilty! 12:30 rule skipped my mind for a second and more guilty tried to have a conversation with an incompetent person who is very comfortable to be rude and ugly!!!..Why spending your money in a place like that where there are a lot of other choices..I'm sure that hideous person will keep her job there..

Good Wine Selection - Ok Beer Selection

I have been in and out of Ansley Wine Merchants for over 14 yrs. Every time I go I find it harder and harder to return. The employees are stand offish and always seem to have a styrofoam container of some type of food on the counter that they are smacking on while checking you out. Ugh! I have found the wine and beer selection at the Ansley Kroger better than the Wine Merchants and the folks at Kroger nicer.
