Best Bakery in Town. I have been going here for 20 years. It has the best cakes (with wonderful filings) and light fluffy icings. The pastries and cookies are the best I have found in Atlanta. And if you want Greek type pastries, this is the place. Don't be intimidated by the owner--he is sort of like the "Soup Nazi" on Seinfeld, but remember you are going there for the goodies not the conversation!

spinach pie extraordinaire!. behind the stoic figures of Greek women is the most wonderful bargain bakery in town. there are others, say in the Morningside n'hood, that do nicely for the expensive, chic crowd, but THIS place has the tastiest spinach pie, pistachio baklava, & cheese pies we could've longed for...and for a dollar, you can't eat better in Atlanta! next time we're filling our bags with sweet treats as well, and we'll be doing a bit of shopping off the shelves too. the sardines and grape leaves looked yummy, and being direct imports from Greece i think we'll have another review to post. Enjoy this n'hood gem!
