AVOID THIS COMPANY!! These people are RUDE! Called the night before for a 5am pickup to take my friend to the airport. The woman who took the order was rude and short. Then 5am comes and we call when the car is not here. A different woman says that the order has not been dispatched yet. She insists that she was not there last night to take the order, making it not her problem. After 30 minutes, had to take my friend to the airport or he would have missed his flight. On a previous occasion, the driver came 45 minutes late after getting "lost" even though my address is in all the major navigation sites. DO NOT USE THEM!

IT's A NO SHOW – I booked Atlanta Lenox Taxi Co for last Friday evening. I needed to be in Brookhaven by 8pm. They not only didn't show up they didn't bother to call and inform me that they weren't coming. I called at 7:40pm to ask when I could expect them and they told me that they didn't have an available taxi and wouldn't have one for some time. If you have an important event to be at don't depend on Lenox Taxi to get you there.

What happened, Lenox? – When I first moved to Atlanta, Lenox Taxi Co. was great and a lifesaver. They would always come within about 5 minutes after I called (or 10 at the most) and the rates were VERY affordable. I don't drive, so Lenox was always my cab company of choice during the hours when the MARTA system isn't running, or to get to those areas of the city that are unaccessible via the public transportation (there are a lot of those in Atlanta).

However, in the past 2-3 months, their service has gone way downhill. The first strike was when I booked a taxi at 6:15pm for 6:30pm one night, and the cab driver ended up not getting there until about 7:15. No explanation, just a phone call from a driver that seemed to be pretty angry about the fact that I had already called for another cab with a different company by that point. No apology for being 45 minutes late. That was strike one. Next, a week later, I was mildly inconvenienced when I called for a cab and they were not only 20 minutes late, but they called me back SIX times in these 20 minutes to ask me to clarify the address. Every single time, I repeated the address very clearly, and the person on the phone repeated it back to me, so I really did not understand what the issue was. That was strike 2. The third and final strike was when I called for a cab late one night, and specifically asked the lady on the phone if they accepted credit cards, since I had no cash on me. "Yes, but it's a $10 minimum on the card." Not a problem at all. However, when I tried to pay the cab driver with a card, I got "No, I don't take cards, I don't even have a machine." UGH. So we have to drive to the nearest ATM for me to get some money out. I take out $20 to give to the driver, and the guy BLATANTLY tries to short change me (as in, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that this is what he was trying to do). The whole experience left me wishing I had just walked the 3 miles to get home instead of bothering with this.

So yeah, I would not recommend this company. Go with Checker Cab instead. It might be (slightly) more expensive, but I have never had any problems with them like I have with Lenox in recent months.

Ripped us off – Someone called a taxi for my girlfriend and I. When we jumped in this Blue/silver taxi on roswell rd in buckhead to drive literally a 1/2 mile down the road the driver charged us $20.00 and had no meter running. When we jumped out of the taxi I left my purse and had no way to contact the driver. I was unsuccessful in retreiving my purse and had no help from the taxi company. I should have just walked home!

These people are horrific!!!!!!! – I waited for over an hour and when the hotel kept calling all the dispatcher said was "5-10 minutes," so when I called the "manager,: he accused me of false accusations and threatened me with that he was taping the call and notified the cops, for what I'm not sure. There were plenty of cabs, but this company is lazy, rude and disrespectful. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not so bad – I've used Lenox cab to go to the airport probably more than a dozen times. With exception of one time, drivers have been on time and usually early. The one exception, the driver was over half an hour late and I ended up driving myself at breakneck speed. Based on that, I always schedule at least 15 minutes earlier than I need, just in case. And again, with one exception the drivers have been professional and polite. One time I had a ride with a driver who made me uncomfortable, both in his driving and demeanor. The good outweighs the bad for me, and I continue to use them.

horrible rude dangerous – This cab company is horrible the drivers are a bunch of psychopaths. they must need to fail some kind of evaluation in order to get their jobs. i have had several bad experiences with this company. one time the driver was clearly on meth or some kind of upper and was staring at me (in the back seat) and yelling about how much he hates nigerians. i was very worried about my safety because i think it is very important to look out the front window while a person is operating a moving vehicle. dont use this company for any reason. the cabs typically smell like stir fried excerment too.

came on time! – I was pretty worried about taking a cab to the airport after reading some of the reviews, but we really didn't have a choice so I went with Lenox. I made the appointment the day before and called again at 6 am the morning of the flight to confirm our 7:15 pick up time. They confirmed and the cab was waiting for us at 7:05. Just wanted to give a positive review in the sea of bad.

A differing opinion – I was about to leave work and mentioned to a coworker that I was getting a cab and had called Checker. He told me that Checker would take forever, and that he could guarantee a cab in 5 minutes. I was reluctant to cancel a service I'd already requested, so I told him thanks, but I'd stick with Checker. I should have known better - twice before I'd had problems with Checker finding the address, despite specific directions and landmarks. (I mean, it's the same building as the Embassy Suites downtown, across from Centennial Park and the Aquarium, how hard can it be?) Sure enough, after an hour wait and repeated phone conversations with the Checker cabbie, who ended up arguing with me and hanging up on me, I asked my coworker to call his cab for me - in 5 minutes or less, Atlanta Lenox was there. Took a different route than I expected, but within time and price of other companies, so I have no complaints; rather, I compliment Atlanta Lenox on knowing the city enough to find my location.

Worst Experience EVER – My boyfriend and I needed a ride back to our car after a long night at the bars -- we called this cab company because their website said they took credit cards. Once we booked the taxi a woman kept calling to say we're on our way or come outside... she was ordering us around. We get in the taxi and I really thought the driver was going to get us in an accident his driving was so erratic. Once we get to our cars I pull out my credit card to pay and the driver starts yelling at me saying he does not accept credit cards. Both my boyfriend and I were like "but the website" and he says "do you not understand my french I don't take credit cards, I don't carry the slips" . He then whips the cab out of the parking lot (nearly hitting a car) to drive us to the atm. He was by far the rudest individual I have interacted with, I just gave him the $20 and got out because I did not want to deal with him anymore. DO NOT CALL THEM FOR A RIDE!
