Legendary Landmark. This place and it's parent store in Downtown are pretty much landmarks and are a place that anyone visiting must visit. Fantastic food and must be experienced. Words don't do it justice!

Good things come in small packages--just like the V, but smaller and less crowded..
In Short
The Varsity Junior is smaller and less chaotic, but still delivers the greasy goods and curbside service, much like the founding V. Like is a miniature of the original, the 1950's-styled digs have been in service over 35 years and run by Frank Gordy's daughter. Taking verbal cues from its older sibling, the Varsity Jr has its own specialized vocabulary. It's the kind of place where the food is better because you ate it back in the day. Greasy, fun favorites include the chili-cheese steak (a diminutive hamburger with chili and American or pimiento cheese), crispy batter-fried onion rings and a defiantly messy slaw dog. Wash it all down with the locally renowned FO, or frosted orange, and finish with a fried apple pie.

Just As Good As The Original! Founder's Daughter Operates Jr. Location! Legendary!. The Varsity, Jr. at the intersection of Cheshire Br.Rd./Lavista, is just as good as the orginal location on North Ave. Frank Gordy's, the founder, daughter operates the Junior location with her son. Much smaller, and catering to the nearby neighborhood. Chili Dogs, Glorified Steak, Frosted Orange, and everything else on the original menu is here. For a classic grease fix, and an Atlanta institution, that's known nationally, the Jr. deliver's the orginal fast food goods. Love it!
