In Short – Founded in Oregon circa 1953, this simply-furnished spot owes its success to its creative menu and fresh ingredients. Batters are made on the premises; a special "sourdough starter" keeps treats from tasting overly sweet. Patrons choose from eggs, waffles, crepes and oven-baked omelets, as well as signature plates like blueberry pancakes (served with or without compote), giant cinnamon-glazed apple pancakes, thin and chewy "49-ers" and the air-filled, lemon-and-sugar-topped "Dutch Baby."

If you are looking for something unusual, different and good.
by rjmcdani
Seating takes a few minutes, probably between 15 minutes and half an hour. The inside is diner quality. Wait staff was friendly, but did not seem from the south. That is to say it was very dry and move move move. The food was really good though. If you are looking for something unusual, look at the specialties. We had 2 of the 6 'specialties.' We had the Apple Pancakes and the Dutch Baby. The Dutch Baby was very interesting and needs an acquired taste; lots of butter, powdered sugar and fresh squeezed lemon. The Apple Pancake on the other hand was top notch. It was very big and had a great robust taste of apple and cinnamon. Other dishes that were passing by looked very well and the side comments were very favorable.
- Pros: Comfortable seating, good food
- Cons: waiting time, ambience
A R0ACH in the pancake
by fromagelover
One of our orders of pancakes came out with a R0ACH cooked into it. What is worse is that It was a banana pancake (white in color), not suppose to have anything brown in it.......it was plated with the r0ach in plain view. A very large r0ach. The r0ach must have fallen into the batter, which means the whole batch of batter was likely contaminated that day. Gross.
The manager came by, very apologetic, and offered 1/2 off the check. I thought he should have paid for the whole thing.
I used to love this place, but I don't think I can stomach eating there again!
- Cons: R0ACH in pancake
