Looks Good Late Night. There should be a special category for this place. If you're found here during regular hours then I raise my eyebrow to you. On the other hand you're in the drive thru line at 4 a.m. then I know what you've been doing and why you're there. And the 4 a.m. crowd is the only group that is excused from going to Taco Cabana. During daylight hours this place is lucky if it is only "not good." But at 4 a.m. you're likely to think this is some great Tex Mex and even try to order a margarita.
No 99 Cent Margaritas. Taco Cabana no longer has 99 cent margaritas on Fridays. I think they are $3.20 regularly, which isn't bad.
reminds me of home. I wish we had one near the north but since i work in atlanta i get to go every once in awhile. I grew up in texas and there are taco cabanas all over and they are great with real homemade totillas.
Food much, much better than you'd think. Ah, old reliable Taco Cabana. Always open, and always more authentic than you'd think. Any of the dishes have true ethnic flavor that you're not likely to find at tex-mex or cal-mex establishments. A great meal for the price, and huge points for serving at any time.
Good enchiladas..... I had the enchiladas and they were good! I am from LA , so I am pretty hard on Mexican food....but I found their enchiladas to be tasty and definitely better than the other Mexican spots I have tried in town thus far...Give it a try!
take your money and run. I ate here a few nights ago when i was hungry and I know better to now go to mcdonalds or somewhere reliable like that.
Only the Desparate need enter. If you are hungry and nowhere else is open, this place may suit the bill.
Stripped-down Tex-Mex provides a motley crew with cheap meals and late-night snacks..
The Scene
An '80s-inspired turquoise-and-pink color scheme gives Taco Cabana a tropical circus feel. Its patrons complete the look: Suburban families, late-night oddballs and partiers gather amiably in Cabana's fluorescent glow. House and techno on Friday and Saturday nights make all-nighters feel right at home, as do the signature margaritas, available into the wee hours.
The Food
Remember the cafeteria taco you ate in high school? Here it is again, along with its mates, the beef burrito and the sloppy chopped-chicken quesadilla. Play it safe and order warm flour tortillas, rice and the signature smoky black beans. Dress this up for free at the salsa bar and you've found the best, most inexpensive meal in the place.
