Editorial Review for Roasters – by Karen Bosnos
The Scene
Neon beer signs and photos of patrons line the walls. Laid-back, friendly servers whiz by with plates piled high. Heavy-bellied folks of every age and income bracket lounge in spacious booths, filled to the gills with perfumed chicken and ribs. Abandon your diet--this is serious comfort food.
The Food
Even those eager to reach the main course should try the spicy spinach dip appetizer. It's so good it puts its merely delicious creamed sister to shame. Tough decisions here: juicy, brown-skinned rotisserie chicken, sweet, moist pulled pork, or rich, creamy mac and cheese? Real potatoes, brown sugar and toasted pecans make the sweet potato souffle irresistible, but the smoky, meaty, falling-off-the-bone ribs are the true stars of the show. They taste just like heaven, served with a side of sauce.

Are we talking about the same place? Just got home from this place and swear we'll never go again. First off, it was dirty. The floor was greasy, the booth was greasy and had food bits on it and should have been wiped clean and the plates were dirty. Then the food. Hmmmm....well, the cole slaw was good. I had a salad with chicken. Pretty blah. The other member of the party had the pork sandwich. Not impressed. About the only thing good I can say is that the waitperson was very pleasant and attentive. Very turned off by the apparent lack of cleanliness. Not gonna bother again.
Pros: Good Waitperson
Cons: Dirty and mediocre food

Best BBQ I could find in the ATL area. Wonderful rotisserie chicken (all white). Melt-in-your mouth ribs. Delicious side dishes--tons to choose from. Unbelievable corn bread. Delightful service!!!
Pros: Food, service, price
Cons: Should stay open later on weekdays (past 10)
