DO NOT MOVE HERE - MANAGEMENT TEAM & APARTMENTS ARE HOPELESS. DO NOT MOVE HERE - APARTMENT COMPLEX ALONG WITH MANAGEMENT TEAM ARE HOPELESS!

If you want to read an honest objective review then keep on reading.... I've lived at this complex from August 2007 till July 2011. Needless to say - I've seen about everything in the past 4 years. I guess there's really no such thing as affordable living anymore. Berkshires is definitely cheap compared to other places in the area but it shows. Its full of people with no class or integrity the tenants who have many pets (large dogs looking like pitbulls that should never be allowed in an apartment complex environemnt that are dangerous to kids and other residents) allow them to do their business in the stairways, elevators and pool area. Management team does absolutely NOTHING to keep up the property safe and sanitary.

Elevator in building 1000 never worked. The days that it happened to open, the smell of the piss was so disgusting that you couldn't come in even if you wanted to. Then things went back to normal i.e. it was broken again. The staircase was leaking, smelling, pissed over and etc, so the walk upstairs was pretty challenging. The lights in the staircase and hallways are constantly broken and with numerous complaints to the management team, they stay that way for the most time creating unsafe environment for the residents.

Pool.....Pool stays closed during the summer a lot. It's unsanitary, pets pee and run around the pool area all the time yet management team fails to responds to that. THere is glass all over from broken beer bottles and etc. The pool is incredibly dirty and unsanitary. Management team believes that middle of the day is the best time to blow leaves and clean the pool which means leaves are flying into the pool and the pool has chlorine constantly dumped in to help the situation a little which means from about 10am till 3pm residents can't use the pool on weekends. Rediculous!

Management team.... Not responsive (obviously). ANy maintenance issues have to be called in 5-6 times and will take anywhere from 4-7 days, so if you have a clogged toilet or sink, you are on your own.

If you decide to move here anyway (must be crazy to do it) - be sure you request copies of your contract because management team will switch contract terms without your knowledge.

Terrible experience. Terrible place. Terrible management.

Security is a joke. My girlfriend and I moved into this apartment complex thinking wow it looks so safe and clean. WRONG!!! The elevator is ALWAYS broken; we had a serious ANT infestation, and guess what, OUR APARTMENT WAS BROKEN INTO IN BROAD DAYLIGHT!!!! That's right people; somebody kicked the door right in and guess how they got in?? Through the "gated garage,” and when pressed by police and myself to show the footage of the "cameras" in the garage, the apartment complex (JAN) said oh they were pointed at the ground not at the elevator where the burglars were walking out with everything valuable you owned. This place is a freaking joke and we will be moving as soon as my attorney files the papers to sue this place for negligence. For the money we paid, you can live somewhere a lot nicer and more professional in Buckhead. What an awful experience!
