Tips for Divers At Sea

Most Friendly and Reputable Dive Shop in Atlanta. I had a great experience with Divers at Sea. The owners are very knowledgeable and make the certification process easy and enjoyable. I took the certification class and did all my pool time in Atlanta but completed my open water with another dive shop on location in Fiji. I am pleased to say that the training I received from Divers at Sea prepared me completely and helped me feel at ease in the open water. In fact, I was so comfortable, my first dive after certification was a shark dive - which is one the highlights of my diving experience and ultimately one of the top thrills of my life.

Great people, great service and great training! Thanks Bert!

Great dive shop. Best dive shop around with personal, low-pressure sales and service. Bert and Dawn provide the perfect mix of serious and fun - both key elements to the sport. Started as a newbie diver with them in 2000 and still going strong. Have tried others and no one compares. If safety is as important to you as having a good time, this is the place.

Best Dive Shop in Town. These guys have found the formula to make a dive shop work. I've been diving with them since 2000. I've taken classes from Bert and found him to be knowledgeable, safety oriented, patient and a whole lot of fun. I?ve purchased all of my gear from Bert and Dawn. They have or can get anything you need. It makes a huge difference to me as they stand behind what they sell. I had a pair of dive booties that started to fall apart after 2 years and maybe a 100 dives! They offered repeatedly to ?make it right? ? I find their customer service to be top notch. Bert has even serviced my gear overnight so that I could make a short notice dive trip. I?m looking forward to the next time I get to go somewhere with them. See you on the bottom!!

Divers 250 miles from the sea: Unfortunately it shows.. When I first started shopping around for a dive shop in Atlanta I really took a liking to Divers at Sea. The owner Bert Quist is an extremely jovial man who welcomes his customers in with a genuine enthusiasm about the sport. He helped alleviate my anxieties and I decided to sign up for an open water class after being informed that there was only one slot left in the upcoming class.

The class felt somewhat rushed, and it was very crowded in the classroom and especially the pool. The price of the training is $125 less if you buy starter equipment so rather than shop around like I normally would I bought my gear from their dive shop. Big Mistake. The prices they quote are significantly more expensive than what I could have purchased online and the variety of gear that they carry is minimal. In most instances I was offered two choices "high top boots or low top boots" "dry snorkel or wet snorkel" "expensive fins or cheap fins". With more research under my belt now I realize the err of my ways.

The buying process was stressful and I felt extremely rushed through what should have been a thorough buying process, especially for a first timer. I now regret purchasing over half of my gear.

Eventually I grew tired of the high pressure attempts to get me to participate in overpriced tours and unwelcome feeling I received during subsequent visits and I've now taken my business closer to where I live in Roswell.

Customer No-Service. Poor Customer service during my visit. If you want the friendly local dive shop, then seek elsewhere.

Demand more from your dive shop.. Located in Buckhead with a pleasant store environment.

Be prepared to pay Buckhead prices if you spend your money here.

If you need a service on your schedule, not theirs... go elsewhere. I gave them a month to perform a simple service, and instead they ignored it for a month.
