“The dough is tasty and of medium thckness, if just a bit chewy; the tomate sauce is just awesome, with a really fresh taste.”
“We have been going to this restaurant for more than 10 years, but recently we have had horrible customer service there.”
Service and Food Top Notch. We've always enjoyed the Mellow Mushroom in the Brookhaven area. The food is just great and very consistent in quality. We were there recently and our server (Erik) was very professional and made sure we had a great dining experience. Our group will definitely return!
AWFUL SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!. Pizza was good but our waitress was awful! Loney(sp?) <---our waitress was mean and gave us the worse service. She looked as though she was "baked" herself. Im planning on writting an article to the AJC because she is the reason we wont be back. We used to go there all the time and spend lots of money and planned events there, but never again.
Great Calzones, Need Better Trivia. This is a rather large Mellow Mushroom that includes and outside section. Of course, the pizza is very good, however the unknown "secret" is the calzones. They are huge and incredible. Their salads are okay but, being a sub guy, I think theirs are are sub-par (sorry). One last thing: They used to have great trivia on Wednesday night. However, they replaced Bustin' Heads Trivia with an inferior product. Get a calzone to go.
Not going back. We have been going to this restaurant for more than 10 years, but recently we have had horrible customer service there. I would chaulk it up to just a bad server, but the manager was even worse. We have decided to find a new pizza hangout-so long mellow mushroom.
Best pizza in Atlanta. I consider myself a pizza connoisseur, having sampled the stuff all over the world. Most pizza in Atlanta is mediocre at best, but the Mellow Mushroom is an exception. The dough is tasty and of medium thckness, if just a bit chewy; the tomate sauce is just awesome, with a really fresh taste. The toppings are high quality. The only improvements I would recommend are extra tomato sauce and to cook the pizzas a little longer (or a higher temperature) than unusual. Overall very good.
Tasty pies come with a side of '70s nostalgia at these spruced-up college town pizzerias..
With satellite locations in big-time university towns like Chapel Hill and Athens, this popular Atlanta chain knows what makes a college pizzeria. Newer strip mall locations aside, staple fixtures include good music, servers in Jane's Addiction T-shirts and combat boots, funky painted cinder blocks and bumper sticker-covered beer coolers. Visit the Druid Hills location for the patio.
A product of the '70s, this reliable pizzeria projects an unflappable Deadhead psychedelics-n'-health-food ethos. This amounts to lots of "shroom" references, "spring water dough" (enriched with vitamin E), plus tofu as a pizza topping and sprouts on all the hoagies. Pies are high quality and the crust--dense but crisp--is distinctive. Specialties, including the Gourmet White pie (sun-dried tomatoes, onions, feta and provolone cheeses) and the Mighty Meaty (hamburger, bacon, pepperoni, ham and sausage) are top-notch. Salads and sandwiches are college-food good, making a nice variation if you dine here often.
great toppings. Mellow Mushroom has some of the best pizzas I have ever tasted! The toppings are great tasting, and the sauce..... fantastic!!!!
