I'm a HUGE fan of The Curtain Exchange. I recently found beautiful drapes for my living and dining room on consignment - I was shocked at how perfect they were, and so unique! Then I purchased all my hardware and for the first time in 10 years have a truly finished-looking formal living/dining room. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, and I'm going back now to see what I can do about blinds for my family room. FYI - there' s a 10% off everything sale for April 2013!!
I can't say enough good things about The Curtain Exchange! You have only five stars but they deserve more! From the moment I walked in the door, I knew I need look no further for quality products and excellent service. I enjoyed working with Jane so much and she made sure that I had just the right product for each window we covered. I am beyond happy and gladly recommend this business to anyone interested in quality fabrics and old-fashioned, top notch service. I also appreciate Jane's design skills as well as her sense of humor and punctuality. Great job, Curtain Exchange. I highly recommend you!
Great job Curtain Exchange!!!! I can't wait to get my new curtain rod. Upon stepping into The Curtain Exchange, I was greeted by Jim (not knowing he was the owner) who in a jokingly way educated me on the layout of the store along with some of the details of their merchandise. Due to not always getting the best customer service from other stores in the past, I have to say it was truly refreshing and impressive the level of customer service Jim demonstrated. Once I told Jim that I had come into the store looking specifically for a 2” wooden curtain rod, he made sure I was educated on what they had from the lower-end to higher-end rods, he showed me the books with other available options, and he made me feel like a valued customer no matter how much or little money I was planning to spend (unfortunately very rare in this time and age). After placing my order, I left The Curtain Exchange not only feeling very good about my purchase but also feeling good that customer service is very much alive at The Curtain Exchange. I will definitely spread the word about my experience.
Highly Recommend!!! I recently purchased a home in Buckhead. Some of the curtains the previous owner left behind we ones I could live with for a while, but others had to be updated. I googled curtains and got the Curtain Exchange. I went in and loved what I saw and the staff was very helpful and wanted to be sure I got what I loved and needed. I even had them come out and measure all my windows for future needs. I loved everything that I purchased and they even took in some of my existing curtains for consignment----when those sell I will have a nice credit waiting for me for future purchases---GREAT PLACE.....don't miss out!!!
I love this place!
I had two sets of windows in my Dining and Living rooms that face the front of the house separated by a foyer. I was at my wits end as to how to dress them out as both rooms, though separated, can be seen clearly from one room to the other. I really needed the rooms to work together even though each room had it's own persona.
I came into the Curtain Exchange armed with pics and stats. After getting a feel for my decor, the staff offered up a solution that worked out just great!
They offered me a beautiful silk stripe which had colors that worked nicely in each room. Suggested curtain rods made of wood and gilded in a antique gold for both rooms. To add a little interest, they suggested an artichoke finial in the dining and a elegantly shaped finial for the living room.
I couldn't be happier with the help I received. I placed my order and in no time my curtains and hardware were in and installed. The draperies look awesome! Each room stands on it's own yet lives together quite nicely now.
I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do with my master bedroom!!!
It was recommended to me that I try The
Curtain Exchange and I'm sure glad I did.
I just completed an interior decorating job for one of my favorite Atlanta clients. I'm in total agreement with "Threedinc" (review below) that the women at The Curtain Exchange know their business. They made the entire process painless for both me and my client. The finished product was worth every penny. Every time I was asked by my client to check status, the staff followed up with their workrooms, installers and drapery hardware manufacturers. There were a few delays, but that's the norm these days--fabric availability has become a nightmare. Installers are difficult to hire and schedule.
If you want professional service, I recommend The Curtain Exchange.
They need to improve their customer service. I read Burnice F.'s review and wanted to chime in here. I have mixed feelings about the Curtain Exchange. I thought they were very friendly when they initally tried to help me and ultimately I placed a custom order with them summer 2011. However, the problems began after my order was placed. The estimate given was off by several hundred dollars, which when you are spending that kind of money may not matter to some but to me as a new home owner with many expenses and projects it mattered... The drapes were not ready in the time frame given. I had to follow up with them for weeks. They were not pro-active in following up with me to give me a status update on my order or reset my expectations. I was told my order would take 3 weeks and that turned into almost 3 months... I had also asked for a quote on custom shams to match my drapes which I never received. When I reached out to management to suggest that their customer service could be improved, I received a lengthy email back from one of the owners defending how and why they do things vs. accepting that the customer, me, was not happy and apologizing and simply working to make the experience better. Ultimately my drapes turned out stunning (once I received them) but I am working through other vendor now to complete the window dressings for the other rooms of my new home. Ultimately, they didn't earn my business the 2nd time not because of quality in product but because of quality of customer service. There are many other businesses out there that will go above and beyond to satisfy the customer, especially in this economy. I so wish my Curtain Exchange experience had been one I could write about positively....
HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!.
I am still trying to recover from this horrible experience that cost me approximately $5,000.00!!
The CUSTOM DRAPES and CUSTOM HARDWARE were not delivered within the established time. When I contacted the owners and tried to get information on estimated delivery, I was given the "run around" and calls regarding follow-up were not returned as promised.
It was after making several trips to the store and speaking with the owners (who repeatedly made false promises of expediting delivery) and demanding resolution, that I was able to get my drapes.
The nightmare continued because the drapes and rods that I received did not meet measured specifications and it 6 MONTHS to get the problems resolved.
During these economic hard times, it blows my mind that a business would treat any customer with the lack of integrity, professionalism, and human respect that I unfortunately encountered.
A designer's dream vendor!.
I designed a room for a showhouse that included 108" custom drapery panels which were not delivered by their due date. With one week till opening, I visited The Curtain Exchange based on my upholster's recommendation. They not only helped me locate the perfect replacements but located an additional panel in a matter of days when they discovered they only had 3 of the 4 panels I needed in stock.
Jim, Jane & The Curtain Exchange consultants are knowledgeable and extremely easy to work with. I look forward to using their services for all future projects.
Ironically my custom drapes were ready on opening day, however I opted to use the ones from The Curtain Exchange. They hung beautifully and provided an elegant and traditional touch to an otherwise contemporary space. I love happy accidents and thanks to The Curtain Exchange for providing a happy ending!
