Very cute waitresses, very welcoming and always smiled. My friends and I are visiting the ATL area and decided to watch the Falcons game at Stooges.

Highlights:

1. Very cute waitresses, very welcoming and always smiled.

2. Cool layout TV's everywhere, indoor seating and pool tables

3. Food is very good and well presented

4. Drink and food prices are very reasonable

5. John the owner and his staff really know how to make you feel welcome. John introduced us to his staff and to his regulars, really made us want to return often.

This is a good place to watch a game. This is a good place to watch a game if it is a big or local game that lots of others will be watching, a great sports bar for say a college football saturday with lots of games all over the country that you might be interested in.

I love Stooges for watching big Hawks games but there are not much better places to go to watch out of region college football and basketball games.

Good Weekend Game Crowd. Me and my friends always stop by this place when we are in the city. The weekend crowd is very friendly and the guys to girls ratio is mostly even. I'm glad its starting to happen again here. Atlanta need good sports bars.

CHEERS!. Great Atlantan neighborhood bar with a "CHEERS" atmosphere! I especially like the wide open doors in the good weather. Great food. Friendly and efficient service!!

The atmosphere is lively, the prices are reasonable. What a great "local" place. The atmosphere is lively, the prices are reasonable. the staff is friendly and accommodating. and the prices are reasonable.

We are big Florida sports fans and this is one of the few places where we can watch the games and not be treated as outcasts! Must visit bar for anyone who is just looking for a cool, casual place to hang out.

Thank god for the new owner, he has turned this place around

A Great Sports Bar. awesome wait staff so nice and friendly and pretty easy on the eyes!! great place to grab a drink or three afterwork and catch a few games, definitely my favorite neighborhood bar and you can't beat the chicken wings. there is new management there now nothing like the old days.

Used to be good - now so so.. It is a shame - with 4 projection screens (when they all work), 7 big screens, personal TV in your booth and decent prices for the beer (in chilled glasses) this place could be a sports fan's heaven. Unfortunately, they just don't seem to care about keeping the fans happy and making money.

They used to have huge crowds on football Saturday and Sundays. Now you have your choice of the many empty seats. Why? Could be the economy, but I think it is more likely the crappy food, inconsistent service, and fruit flies (seem to be gone for now).

Last year the guy running the TVs/satellite on Saturdays was almost a mind reader who knew what you wanted to watch before you walked in (even if you weren't wearing your team's jersey). The guy on Sunday was always checking with new arrivals to see that they got the game they wanted. Now they have some young woman that spends most of her time hiding in the office playing video games (she should close the door).

The food used to be pretty good for bar fare. Now I only order it if I'm starving. Order the burger or wings and you are OK. Order anything else and I'll bet dollars to donuts you will be disappointed.

I wish I owned a place like this. I'd get (bring back) a decent cook, crack down on the inattentive wait staff, and pay attention to what's on the TVs (as in tuning each one in to a game be it baseball, basketball, hockey, football, fight or whatever).

DANGER!!!. USE CAUTION! This place is a trouble spot. The manager's husband went to jail for punching his wife and a customer at the bar. They carry their marital disputes into the bar for all to see. Be especially cautious if her husband has been drinking.

If it's sports and it's televised, it's on at this Howell Mill bar.. The Scene
The well-ordered, well-appointed but mostly empty sports bar caters to an older crowd of patrons during the pigskin off-season. Souvenir jerseys and pictures of local sports heroes hover above parents and grandparents at the bar and families in the dining area. The occasional 20-something sports fan stops in for a pick of the many spacious booths. Things liven up a bit when football dominates the 40 televisions.

The Draw
If you need to watch the game without distractions, catch it here. Banks of monitors assault on every side, and one wall is solely dedicated to four large projection screens. Although Stooges offers an extensive menu with everything from sandwiches to prime rib, the food is nothing to crow about. If you want to make it through an all-day double header, head straight for the bar, which serves the staple of all sports: cold beer.
