“Service borderlines offensive at the West End location”
“The food is good although they will try to give you as little as posssible if you let them get away with it.”
“The food is good and the service is fresh and pleasant.”
Let Me Just Praise the Vegan Sunday Brunch!. I love Soul Vegetarian -- both locations -- however, I'd like to use this opportunity to sing the praises of the vegan Sunday Brunch. Brunch options for vegans are usually few and far between, but at Soul Veg, everything's vegan! Sunday morning is cafeteria style, serving a savory scrambled tofu, traditional hash browns, handmade "sausage" and tofu "bacon" (nice smoke flavor and crispness), broccoli with red peppers, plus grits, biscuits, and THE WORLD'S BEST VEGAN PANCAKES. The pancakes alone are worth the trip -- but bring your own maple syrup if you're a die-hard stickler for the real thing. There's nothing fancy about the ambience in Soul Veg #1, however, there is plenty of room for a large party (or two or three or four), and the seating area has several sections accommodating different sized groups. The place has a "conscious" feel -- you sense that deep discussions are going on all around you -- which makes for a nice Sunday vibe. And the people -- servers and guests alike -- are friendly and genuine. If you are both brunch-lover and vegan like me, this place is a haven.

The food is good although they will try to give you as little as posssible if you let them get away with it.
The service is some of the worst I have ever experienced, it borderlines offensive. If you do not APPEAR to be Muslim or Black Hebrew they act like you dont deserve to eat there food. (which realy offends me because I do practice the Muslim Faith)
This place would be great if the management would take the time and educate the staff on common customer sevice skills.
Take the time and visit the Virginia Highlands Location. The food is good and the service is fresh and pleasant.
Bland & boring. I am always on the hunt for good new vegetarian places. I was very dissapointed by Soul Vegetarian. My dish was very bland and boring, as was my friend's food. The service was also sub-par.
Fresh-licious!. Great tasting vegan dishes--always fresh--served up by a staff of friendly folks eager to please. Juice bar, desserts, dine-in or take-out. Parking sucks, but this is about the only complaint you'll find with this place. Also in the Virginia-Highlands area.
