Variety is the spice in this three-theater Midtown complex.. The Scene
A Woodruff Art Center venue, the Playhouse offers a range of style and content for performing-arts lovers. Both contemporary and classic small theater companies take advantage of this Midtown complex to produce plays and dance performances. Three stages seat 400, 200 and 90 patrons for Art Center events and productions by Theatre Gael, Jomandi, Several Dancers Core, Atlanta Classical Theatre, and Art Within.

The Draw
Resident companies are truly diverse: Theatre Gael presents plays, poetry, music, dance and storytelling focused on Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Jomandi produces new works about the African-American experience. The focus at Several Dancers Core is experimental contemporary dance and movement. Actors in the Atlanta Classical Theatre perform classical and contemporary plays. Art Within aims at theater with a Christian faith message. Woodruff's own Page to Stage literary series features evenings with authors and their freshest work.
