Excessive Charging.... I went this past weekend and paid with my debit card... They charged me not once, not twice... But 5 times!! So I called and they played dumb about it... I'm done with them.

The Most Unique Gifts. Outwrite Bookstore & Coffeeshop has the most unique gifts for anyone on your list (gay OR straight). Obviously they have an incrdible selection of books, but what I found interesting was they had a good selection of eclectic music and very amusing novelty gifts. It's a very relxed atmosphere in a very cool part of Midtown - at the corner of Piedmont and 10th street. My wife and I also love the sandwiches, desserts, and coffee. It's a great place to shop as well as spend a relaxing hour or two.

It's fitting that the site of the city's most vibrant bookstore once housed a disco. The hip Midtown hangout for Atlanta's gay and lesbian crowd keeps an upbeat vibe, while stocking a serious selection of gender-related literature. The cleanly designed store houses a creative gift section, comprehensive book offerings and a bustling cafe. The small, outdoor patio buzzes with lively conversation to match its view, the busy intersection of 10th and Piedmont.

The Goods
The books range from highly academic, serious minded gender studies to general interest volumes that span gay, lesbian and transgendered life and interests. Get a quick design fix browsing the store's particularly strong selection of art, fashion and design oriented coffee table books, or pick through its city-savvy magazines. The store also has an ever-expanding selection of DVDs and gift items for sale.
