Definitely not going back. The seating area was very overcrowded almost as if people were sitting on top of each other. I was there for an hour and a half. The waitress Ellie had only take one drink order and an hour after I didn't see her I went to the bar and my drinks had been sitting there for a while. The wine was now warm and the bartender brought the glasses of moscato to us. My friend and I wanted to order food, but after this experience I just paid and went to another restaurant. My suggestion would be yeah this is an okay place to go to if you only want 1 drink because that's all you're going to get unless you track your waitress down. The Cafe needs to hire more staff to accommodate for the volume of patrons.

Food and drinks garbage, staff is worse!. Worst service you can imagine. Food is garbage too.

Great Desserts!. Girls Night out

This place has it all! The desserts are WONDERFUL, it hard to pick the one you want. Its so many to choose from. THis is a must, you have to try it!

cozy ambience. I have never eaten here but i love there teas! and I don't even drink tea at home.I also enjoy their cheescakes, the place have a very cozy decor, it's slammed everytime I go, perfect for date night with your husband or dessert after movie night. I have never had to wait which is surprising as it's always busy! I can't review the food but based on decor, desserts, drinks and service it gets 5 stars from me.

definitely pleased. I loved the taste of their food and their coffee selection. Everything was flavorful. The quality of service clearly complements the excellence of the food. I was definitely pleased when I left the place.

Great coffee, service could be better.... Maybe it was because I was just at Brio and had to rush through a lunch (due to an upcoming meeting) where my service was absolutely fantastic ... but I got to Cafe Intermezzo for said meeting and it felt like everything moved in slow motion. I was the ONLY PERSON on the bar side of the restaurant. Servers passed by every 5 minutes, talking amongst themselves while I waited for what seemed like an eternity just to get a water and finally place my order. Maybe my server had the entire back patio or something to serve, but at 2:30pm on a Sunday afternoon, where the bar staff out-numbered the people there... I just expected a little bit more. For no reason should I be tapping my fingers waiting on service when there isn't anyone there. I'll always recommend (and go myself) this little coffee gem, but I walked out incredibly annoyed. And after being a patron for some 10 years, I never thought I'd say that.

Terrible service an food was average, over priced. Went this Sunday afternoon place was nearly empty, explain to me why we could not get a waitperson to attend to us...

Service was horrible, like I said I guess water is expensive an dthe ice must be gold.

Food was average at best

Even to cash out was time consuming

Thank You is not a term any of the staff know how to use. I guess customers bother them..

Great atmospher, good coffee, horrible service. Always rude staff, always slow service. It's as if management trains them to be rude to their customers.

Tonight, my wife and I were having coffee on the empty patio and moved to sit near a fireplace. We were told by two different waitresses that two people can't sit at a six-top, even though there was no one else there.

I don't know why we keep going back, but after tonight, we will never return.

Going down hill quickly. Cafe Intermezzo used to be a great place to eat and have drinks with friends. Both the variety and the quality of the food seems to have decreased in the last couple of years. Service was never great except from the occasional GaTech waitress who didn't know she didn't have to care about the customers. Desserts are still an attraction, but believe it or not the service has gotten worse. On our last visit (and I mean last), our meals arrived at different times, the wine came after everyone was finished eating, and except for the obilgatory delivery of the order, we never saw our waitress again until she brought the check. Sorry to lose what used to be a nice place, but the negative reviews are closer to the truth.
