i went there for my boyfriends birthday it was great,the food was different and it was awesome,my boyfriend was so happy cause they have a belly dancer show,i really recommend it to everyone who want to have a fun party.

Outstanding atmosphere and food!. On February 11, 2012 my fiance and I went to the Imperial Fez for a wonderful dining experience. The decorations were unique, making you feel like we were in Morocco, soft musique was playing. We were served a 5 course dinner which was absolutely outstanding, the Cornish hen is one of the best dishes I have ever had! Eating with our fingers made it even more exotic (forks were also provided). The service was very attentive and courteous, the servers kneeling in front of the table each time.

Then the bellydancers came out, and it was a real treat to watch them dance to the wonderfully engaging moroccan music! I was enthralled I must say and wished they could have danced nonstop!

The whole evening made us decide that we have to plan a trip to Morocco one day!

I admit at first, I was worried too. It smelled like Chinese food in this place - yes, Chinese food. The waitresses were eating their lunch at the front of the restaurant when we walked in. Without standing up, one of them smiled and pointed to a table at the back.

The restaurant was empty, despite a handmade sign that said: "Line moves quickly!" Perhaps we mistimed our meal, showing up for breakfast at noon. Either way, the menu offers mostly breakfast foods including omelets, bacon, pancakes, and my favorite: eggs benedict.

I ordered the California eggs benedict and my girlfriend got the Crab eggs benedict. Within ten minutes our waitress delivered our meal. We were happily surprised. The plate was nicely made up. My eggs benedict had large, fresh slices of avocado and fresh grilled turkey. My girlfriend's eggs benedict had heaps of real crab meat, topped with capers.

The hollandaise sauce was buttery and rich and the eggs perfectly cooked. We noticed that my plate was garnished with a lemon wedge while my girlfriend's came with an orange slice. It was a small detail, but showed that they actually care about how they present their dishes here.

We repeatedly noted how tasty the food was, and how wrong we were to prejudge the experience.

Having said this, the place would probably have netted a higher score had the ambiance been nicer. Still, who am I - a tourist - to waltz into a place that is clearly liked by the locals and ask that place to change? If you are a tourist like me, you should be happy that a place like this exists at all. Two blocks from the Prescott Hotel on Post St. sits a great little place for breakfast.

Imperial fez Best Moroccan Food. I dinned at the Imperial Fez last month the food is exceptional the atmosphere the decor is the best I seeing in Atlanta. The service was so amazing, the staff had great details and what I was amazed about was, that you don’t have to say much your waiter is right there giving you the service you need without words. My fiancée and I felt we were in another country, the low seating, the fabric, the dancers everything was great. Thank you Imperial Fez for making our evening so special, we will definitely be back and bring friends.

great experience. last Saturday i was at imperial fez for my wife's birthday, it's was unforgettable, nice atmosphere good food and great service. my wife was so happy , she sad that she had the best birthday party ever

hakam. wonderful night!

my friends and i went last night to the imperial fez and we spend amazing time, our hands washed with rose water and had a five course dinner which concluded with a awesome salad and couscous and dessert...,

the belly dancer show was fabulous.

It was the most great place i have ever been.

Every visit to this restaurant has been a pleasant. I have been to the Fez several times and have taken a lot of friends there. Every visit to this restaurant has been a pleasant experience; all you need to do is keep an open mind. Remember that you are going to have a Moroccan experience; eating Moroccan food in a Moroccan setting. In most other cultures outside ours in the US, the server will only come to your table to bring the menu, take your order, bring out the courses and then bring out the check. If you want the standard American service with the server coming over to you every couple of minutes to ask you how you're doing or how you are liking your food, then please do yourself a favor and go to Applebees or something more mundane.

If you do decide to try something different and pleasing to the palate, go for the delicious cornish hen appetizer and beef sheesh kebabs at the Imeprial Fez.

Oh, and the whole idea of this place is a leisurely experience; so make sure you have a full evening (at least 3-4 hours) to enjoy all that the Fez has to offer. If you're in a hurry and want the courses and the check to be brought out in quick succession and the server hovering over your head, as some other reviewers seem to need, then don't go to the Fez.

The worst ever. I was excited to go eat Moroccan Food with my wife for dinner but unfortunately it was my worst experience , first of all it started with the waiter who didn?t know anything about Moroccan food , he kept forgetting about bringing the necessary stuff to the table , for instance serving food (soup, appetizers) with no spoons ,bread with no knife..

second ,he brought us a Moroccan soup that tasted good but was extremely cold. We said okay no problem ,

we ordered 2 appetizers (kind of stuffed sea food ) believe or not , but it was warmed using microwave , if I wanted to eat microwave stuff I would go to McDonalds...

the stuffed feta cheese was horrible couldn?t eat. in the end they served us chicken Kebab that was half cooked . the bill was 70 , if you really want to waste your money then go there , that?s a shame that Moroccan food is represented that way pricy and not tasty.

Dont go there , no quality , no service , poor food , and just to tell you the Moroccan food is the best but not at imperial Fez

Waste of Time and Money. Went last night with a large group to celebrate a colleagues retirement. Firstly we had parking problems, staff told us to park in a certain place, when we did we were told we had to valet. So we parked our own car in the valet spot. awesome :(. We had been told we would get the set menu at a reduced price since we were bringing about 30+ people, but when we ordered and later paid we that was nowhere to be seen. The food was very poor, they talked everything up but it really disappointed. Each table had to share a plate of food, the "Moroccan bread" was basically stale American bread, we got the equivalent of a shot of soup, we shared a plate of basic salad, the other appetizer was gross, the main meal, I got the Lamb shank which was super fatty. Let me say I do enjoy different types of food and like Mediterranean cuisine, but this food seemed cheap and was not enjoyable. The staff were ok but constantly asked us about buying more expensive drinks or upgrading from the set menu to the "special" which was $20 more. The set menu came with a basic dessert but you could add a different dessert for extra. The waitress was not clear about the different dessert being extra and so basically suckered everyone into purchasing an extra dessert when they were already getting a free one. The real nightmare came at the end when they brought ONE BILL for about 30+ people for over $2000. The organizers of the night were partly to blame but surely the staff could have asked how we wanted the bill split. One of our party had to write down everyone's order on a piece of paper, we then had to CUE up and pay individually which took ages. It was an embarrassing end to a difficult night. Overall i was there from 6pm to almost 11pm and spent about $130 on a meal for my wife and I. The belly dancers were very skilled, the only good thing about the place. The food was just SO cheap and disappointing it seemed the place was all about getting you to spend as much money as possible while having you believe you were having some kind of "cultural" experience. I could go on and on about witnessing wait staffs constant bickering etc etc but basically just avoid this place.
