On the edge of Piedmont Park, skip the burgers & make a bee-line to the salt block menu for sushi flown in from Hawaii & mouthwatering wagyu. Beers are only $1 when it rains!

WORST SERVICE/MGT EVER. i' ve been her several times. its inside piedmont park, very dog friendly and a great patio; which is the ONLY reason i had gone back. After my experience tonight (10/25/09) we will NEVER go back. The service has ALWAYS been horrible, the food never that great, and the tabs too high. Tonight, the Park Tavern proved to me what they REALLY have to offer. I dont know our servers name, since he never told us, but he seemed to be fine, UNTIL, he started drinking and taking shots with the table next to us. After having a great time with them he forgot to bring us our friends credit card back as well as forgetting to bring us the drinks we had ordered. I confronted the "manager" Chris about this, and he had little to say as well, other than "i'll look into it and get back to you". Needless to say he never did, and after waiting about another hour we were able to get our check and leave. we didnt leave a very good tip since...well...it wasnt earned. (one of us is a server...so this is NOT standard practice for us!). the server hovered over the table while we were getting our money out (which was the most attentive he had been all night) and when seeing what kind of tip we were giving him (6 on a 70 tab) he followed us to the stairs and was eager to say "have a great night ... punk a##$@"

i went back in to confront this "manager" WHO put me in a position to confront the server myself. very awkward and they did NOTHING about the situation other than tell me he would play back his cameras and handle it from there. in summary, STAY AWAY from park tavern. there are lots of cool places in atlanta, with much better food, and better spaces that will provide better service. dont waist your money...you will be disappointed.

Chris, I"m the owner of the Park Tavern and have reviewed your comments in your e-mail to me,looked at the videos, interviewed staff/guests in your section on Sunday. I can tell from your comments about my GM,you didn't like his actions then, so I can only assume you won't like his opinion of your behavior now. Your allegation that, "a tall black guy in a beanie," whose name is Jamar, gave horrific service and never checked on your table is completely false. Time-lapsed video documents otherwise. The tables all around your table seemed to have had a good experience as they left on avg 21.4% gratuity which indicates appreciation of good service. The allegation that Jamar "followed you to the front steps wishing you a good night followed by punk-asses" is false. Also documented in video & verified by a APD lieutenant who was there at the front door. Customers are always right, (99% of the time) but this time I am not going to offer apologies/refunds or invite you back.Paul Smith

Great food and best patio/view. Park Tavern is my fav place to meet up with friends and have some drinks. The patio is awesome, overlooking Piemont Park. My brother also got married in the upstairs Piedmont Room and it was perfect. Highly recommend Park Tavern as one of Atlanta's best spots.

Great Patio - Bad Service. I have been here several times. The last was on April 25th. We had a great table outside overlooking the park.

The food was good. It's upscale bar food with a few very nice entree items.

The service however was horrible. It's not that it took a long time to be served, it's just that the order at each stage was wrong. I would normally be tempted to blame this on the kitchen, but in case I feel certain it was the server. Instead of simply writing down the order the server tried to memorize our order. At every step--drinks, salads and entrees the order came out wrong.

Fabulous patio dining in Piedmont Park!. I love Park Tavern. It's the best place for patio dining, hands down. Overlooking Piedmont Park and the skyscrapers of Mid-town and downtown. I love hanging out on weekends after playing in the park. Food is casual and consistently good.. very diverse menu. The beer is made on-site and really good.. love the Piedmont Porter- especially this time of year. When the weather's cold, the indoor dining is cozy... the furniture is comfy leather and the rooms are lodgy- feeling. Lots of fireplaces and craftsman metalwork. The staff is really cool-- I've always had great service... ask for Heather or Natalie. Can't wait for the Summer concert series to come back in May!!! I'll definitely be there for the New Year's Eve party.. the best (and best value) in the city!

Great Customer service. i went to park tavern for the 1st time with a group of friends. the food was really good, they had great salads, burgers, and eggrolls! they have a diverse menu, but the best thing about it was the servers. we had a nice server name oozie, he was very friendly and he knew the menu very well. he was able to recommend things to all of us that we all loved! that was really helpful. he was friendly and happy, and even took time to play with my son! great family restaurant, nice view of the park, definitly would go again.

Really Nice Place. I really like this place. They have an extensive menu with many different varieties of food. The atmosphere is really nice and you really are directly overlooking the park. This is a great place to eat with your family or your friends.

Cheap microbrew!!. Come to the Tavern for the park, stay for the beer! With anywhere between 2 and 5 house-brewed beers in styles ranging from a crisp pilsner to a coffee-flavored porter, Park Tavern offers a beer for every taste. Combine that with a great view of the park and ample outside seating, you have one great summer evening. Make sure you check it out!
