FABULOUS. Used this service to and from the airport. The driver arrived on the button and waited patiently about 30 minutes for us to finish packing (we tipped him well!). FABULOUS, courteous service and very reasonably priced! We highly recommend Checker Cab and will be using them for all future needs.
Good experiences. Don't know what other reviews are talking about. I had a great experience with them this morning. Called the night before to schedule a 4:50am pickup. The driver arrived right on time, and was cordial and friendly but not over-talkative on the ride down. I've used them before and had similarly good experiences.
Excellent. I recently used Checker Cab for the first time the other day and they were excellent!! They were fast, friendly and courteous! The driver was great and provided me with great service!!

FIVE STARS. I use Checker Cab for transportation to and from the airport. I find this cab service to be reliable and professional. The cars are comfortable and the drivers are great. They don't give you any hassles and are enjoyable to talk with. FIVE STARS.
Friendly. I called Checker Cab and they were there right on time! (In fact 5 minutes early!) The driver was professional and friendly and made enjoyable small talk throughout my ride. I will be using this company again.
Worst Service Ever. I scheduled a pick-up to go to the hospital on-line. I was sent a text that the cab was NOT coming. When I called, I was told that I was outside of their range although I am 5 minutes from the airport. When I told them that I was going to Midtown--that was a high enough fare so they decided to come. The driver then called me and asked to make sure that the fare would be enough. It seems I incovenienced them with my need for service. It will certainly NEVER happen again.

I reserved a cab 24 hr in advance. 15 minutes before the scheduled time, I get a call from the dispatcher asking me for directions to my place!! (isn't it part of their job to know the atlanta area???). To make a long story short, my cab was 1 hour late in arriving!! When I told the driver I was in a hurry (after all, he was an HOUR late!!!!), he was SO RUDE - raised his voice and said he didn't have to drive me anywhere. UHMM...... YES HE DOES! He's a CAB DRIVER!!!
HORRIBLE!!!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! DOESN'T DESERVE TO BE IN BUSINESS.

Cab drivers are rude, dispatcher is horrible and the manager no help!!!...I waited up to an hour for Checker cab service and an up to two hours on another occasion....On top of that, the president and Secretary office has no direct number and the emails are deactived...smh....SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!!!!....And I also contacted the Better Businesss Bureau...DONT USE ATLANTA CHECKER CAB EVER!!!!

This is what I wrote to the BBB (Atlanta) on 11/24/09:
I have been a long time rider with checker cab in Atlanta. For the most part, I have ok experiences with the drivers. However, as of late, I have been experiencing being stranded by drivers because they do not want to use my credit card because of them being taxed 10 percent or a refusal to pick up the call from the dispatcher to pick me up. I have been stranded twice by them or if not stranded, the drivers, not all, have been rude. Even the dispatchers are having trouble with some of the drivers. I have been in some serious trouble being late for work or family illness situations because of their refusal to pick me up because they do not want customers to use credit cards. I have never been rude or nasty to any of the drivers but this has got to be brought to the attention of Jeff Jackson, the general manager, who never seems to be in when I have a complaint. I am sure that other customers are facing the same problems as indicated by the dispatchers. The service level is extremely poor and uncalled for when you leave good, reliable customers stranded or refuse to pick the call up from the dispatchers.
