Formerly Blockbuster Music, this chain store has everything from Abba to Zappa..
The Scene
One of the few Atlanta Wherehouse stores left, this Buckhead location is one of the biggest record stores in the city. As such, expect a mega-store type of atmosphere: impersonal and inattentive. The blast of air conditioning as you walk in is a fair symbol of the chilly reception you'll get from the employees, so know what title you're looking for ahead of time and grab it yourself.
The Goods
The selection is a pleasant surprise. All genres are well stocked, with an entire wing dedicated to jazz and classical. Prices on new releases are high, so try the bargain bins. Deals can also be found amid the vast aisles of used CDs and DVDs.
