Always Good. If you go to Houston's on a weekend night, there is no doubt you will have to wait, but it is well worth it. The food is always good and I have not had one bad experience. I always recommend Houston's when I go out with friends or family from out of town. You can't go wrong with this location or any other.

Service Wasn't The Best. Well my fiance, parents and I tried this location this past weekend. Only my fiance had gone, so he was singing its praises. I even looked up the reviews and was pleased at what I found. Who we thought was our server, was smiling and attentive, but she was just helping out her fellow server. The true server seemed lackluster at best. I mean for the money spent, could have seen a little more friendliness/good customer service. She was like this the entire evening and did not fill our glasses. There was something wrong with one of orders, which management obliged. I just wished we had a different server, sort of killed the whole experience ( my first time). I will give this chain another shot, but check out the other locations to see if I can get better service. Least the food was good.

Date night wa great. Last night my wife and I had dinner there as part of our once a month date night. I have to say the Hawaiin Steak was the best I ever tasted. The service was also great too. Well worth the 1 hour wait. Kudos !!

So-so in Buckhead. My husband and I visited Houston's after a symphony performance last night and found OK setting, food, and service - totally overpriced for what it is. $34 for an ordinary piece of baked fish w/ veggies on the side - and you pay $7 extra for a side salad? $39 for steak and potato, add'l for salad? $17 for a flabby-noodle, overdressed, overseasoned, everything-but-the-kitchen-sink Thai salad? They even tried to charge us $4 for bread, till we protested and got an adjustment on the bill. No thanks. We won't be eating here again any time soon.

Best Steaks in Town. Old money Atlanta met there for lunch in the 90's. They skipped breakfast on lunch day there:)

Today some of the familar faces are gone but the ambiance and food is as a favorite sweater or complimentary upgrade to first class on a long flight.

It is truely a reward to dine there.

The French Dip always hits the spot! I think I'm on my 100th Prime Rib, well ok, 234th.

The horseradish has a zing a ding ding nobody else can produce.

The Ribs, well they cook all day so they jump off the bone into your mouth!

When you want to feel good, go to Houston's.

Loved it. This is my 2nd time at Houston's. The last time I ordered the Bass while my date ordered the steak and I swore I'd order the prime rib next time. It was absolutely DELICIOUS. We both ordered the prime rib and it was so delicious I don't think I've had a better steak. Server (Simone) was very professional and took good care of us. Ambience was perfect - dark, cozy, romantic. The side salad and green beans were ok. My date thought the green beans were too hard. I had half a steak left and boxed it to take home and it was still DELICIOUS. I'm craving it now. I am now a Houston's steak fan. It was perfectly cooked. PERFECT. The Au jus was awesome. sigh...

Roomy banquettes and hefty portions typify this polished American grill that's popular for business deals and special occasions.. In Short
Burnished brass and stained wood complement roughly mortared brick and the occasional plant. Amid ubiquitous earth tones, corporate types and small parties (celebrating or simply living large) occupy deep booths done up in fine upholstery and lit from above by pin spotlights. Burgers, prime rib and steaks are the specialties of the house, but the menu also includes salmon, salads, pork chops and roasted chicken.

Often Imitated, Never Duplicated. First Fila copied Prada. Then everybody rapping had to be named ?Young? this or ?Lil? that. Now even fast-food spots (um hmm, Arby?s) are hopping on the imitation bandwagon and trying to steal Houston?s vaunted sandwich: the French Dip Au Jus!

Stop it, please! Okay sorry. I had to get that out of the way. But the French Dip Au Jus isn?t the only thing worth attempting to duplicate at Houston?s Restaurant.

Their Hawaiian prime-rib steak is sure to satisfy the most cynical food critic, while the quality of food (i.e freshness, hot food, sanitary plates, and silverware) and overall ambiance is off the chart!

Gents, it?s not a formal occasion but at the same time you can?t wear your baseball caps or look like you?re MTV on wheels! While Houston?s isn?t designed for the most opulent patron, it isn?t necessarily for the fast-food budget crowd as well.

But with acute attention from your waiter/waitress coupled with a dimly lit eating area, Houston?s is a perfect marriage of quality food and ambiance.
