In Short
One of the country's most successful steakhouse empires attracts a casual crowd with huge, reasonably priced steak dinners and a tempered Texan milieu (country music and imposing cattle busts). Wise diners turn off their internal calorie counters, as many menu items arrive fried, covered in cheese, or both. A typically rich meal starts with cheese fries, followed by a blue cheese-crusted fillet. Fried cheesecake ends the night on a note of Texas-sized decadence.
The Best in Town. My husband, kids, and I dine out 4-5 nights a week. We have been to upscale, as well as mom-and-pop run steakhouses. NOTHING beats LongHorn - the food and the service are consistently top notch. If we have ever had an issue with a food item or the service (which is extremely rare), it has been settled immediately by a concerned manager, always resulting in us not paying for the food in question (even though the food was always replaced anyway). Our children our always welcomed-and treated as if the staff is glad to see them. With 4 kids, special orders abound - and we've never once had an issue with that. We travel quite a bit, and it's always comforting to us when we see the familiar LongHorn sign - we know we can count on them!
Yum-yum steak!!!. Longhorm Steakhouse has become our family's favorite restaurant. I have NEVER received a bad or so-so meal there. The steaks are excellent, freshly cooked to just the way you want it, and the prices right. It is the best value I have ever seen in a chain steak house. I have tried everything on their menu and loved each and every entree. This is not just another chain restaurant.
Longhorn is a Southern Favorite. Longhorn is an Atlanta Favorite. Flos filet is fantastic. The Salmon is also terrific.
The. i love longhorns...they have the best food...i would recomend it to friends...and family
Overdone. Longhorn is high priced for the quality of meat you get. Filet is flat, doesn't look like a filet. Overrated.
Chain-Style. Longhorn is an OK place to get a steak, but it most certainly is not in the top ten. Those who voted for Longhorn simply haven't been to many upper-end steakhouses. Morton's beats them all.
Svc-GOOD; Food-NOT. My date & I wasn't pleased with our steaks. However, the manager promptly noticed my dissatisfaction without me even saying anything, and we were not charged.
Average doesn't belong in the top 10. If you're into themes, then Longhorn is interesting for 1 visit. As far as the food goes, there's nothing special here, as non-prime cuts of beef are used in the steak.
Great steaks without pretentions. Any steak you order, any way you order it is going to be great. The portions are filling and the sides are delicious. Even the dessert, if you have room, are varied and tasty. All of this without wondering if you are wearing the right power suit, talking about the right topic, or making the right impression. Family friendly and yet the parents do not feel like they are in a steakhouse version of McDonalds. Reasonably priced.
