Engaging church for everyone -- a sense of family. While a mainstream denomination, it bridges between the traditional and the progressive within Christianity. It is a warm congregation that is welcoming to all; there is a place for most to find a home. It takes seriously the United Methodist mission: Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors, and I strongly encourage people seeking a church and spiritual home to visit.

This church is One-of-a-Kind. This is a very open congregation of believers who actually live out Jesus' call to love EVERYONE. Everything about the church is diverse, including the ministries: feeding and clothing the homeless, helping the addicted, loving the unloved, and testifying that God's love is unconditional. Plus, the music and fine arts ministry is awesome!

Big Red doors are open and you are welcome. I have never felt so loved and accepted in a church before. This is a place where my family can worship the loving God. We searched all over Atlanta and the surrounding areas and this church immediately felt like home.

open, accepting, loving ministry. I have been to several churches in the past and St Mark was the first to accept me for who I am and not try to change me. People I met are warm and friendly. Ministers really care about their flock. Music and Drama departments are first rate. The Grief Support Group is awesome and helped me most when I was feeling my worst. God Bless this church.

ALL ARE WELCOME. Well, not sure how the 2006 review lasted so long on here without response...but, I have to say I disagree. St. Mark is a loving, nurturing, welcoming church. The congregation is growing, and the community outreach is so exciting. If you are looking for a place that welcomes everyone, no matter what...this is the place. God surely blessed the corner of 5th and Peachtree with St. Mark. I have been a member of the church for a little over a year now, and I have seen God's miracles happen here. Join us!! You will not regret it for one minute!!

I love this church!!!. I felt at home the minute I walked through the middle of the three RED DOORS on Peachtree Street over 5 years ago. This is the only place I know where EVERYONE is welcome - no matter who you are, no matter what you look like, no matter what your background, and certainly no matter what your sexual orientation.

User review by adamsdaddy. Great clergy but a very unfriendly congregation. If your only desire is to hear a good sermon you won't be disappointed, but if you are looking for friends and outreach keep on looking.
