In Short
While not as flashy as Midtown neighbors, this cozy watering hole is a fine choice for visitors to the city looking for a refresher or local worker bees looking for a place to swarm after hours. Pull up a chair at the relaxed bar or commandeer one of the small tables for group fun and order a mixed cocktail or cold, frosty beer. After a cocktail, guests may opt for a snack or meal from next-door Grille at 590, with their selection of starters, salad and sandwiches. Worst Date Location. We thought we were dressing up for a nice date night and boy were we wrong! We were WAY over dressed!! The ambiance was that of a run of the mill hotel restaurant or better yet, Morrisons Cafeteria. We were seated in the back of the restaurant looking at the buffet bar. They could not locate a wine list and did not want me to taste the wine before making a selection. We ordered the Gumbo for an appetizer, which was great. We ordered the Fried Chicken and Prime Rib for entrees. When two fried chickens came out the waitress told me, "My bad", and walked away. When she finally returned to fix the mistake I asked if I could at least keep my sides she told me, "NO, just eat some of hers." The fried chicken was excellent but the Prime Rib was never cooked right and had grill marks on it before I finally gave up. Dessert came straight from Morrisons! I would not go back!!
