TOTAL ripoff. I went to Agatha's for my friend's birthday dinner. She had made reservations the week before for 10, but told them she wasn't sure how many people would come. They said "No big deal, It's your birthday!" And took her credit card number to hold the reservation. Only 4 people showed up to her party. Which is sad enough on your birthday but then she found out the next day that Agatha's charged her credit card $360 for the 6 people who didn't come!! I called them on her behalf (I thought she shouldn't have to deal with that on her birthday) and the woman was very snippy and said it was just their "policy" and nothing could be done about it. I think it's horrible to take $360 from someone for NOTHING, particularly on their birthday. What a bad way to run a business. I will never go back.

Worth every penny!. My friend and I were both interested in this sort of dining experience, so I bought us a couple tickets for a weekday showing. One of the actors greeted us at the door, explained roughly how things would go and gave us each our speaking parts. There was a cash bar there and a large spread of appetizers. The seating is more like a large dining hall, but the staff was attentive to our needs.

The experience was really unique and both of us had a great time. The food was excellent, served in several courses with complimentary red or white wine a couple times throughout the evening. The actors did a wonderful job of getting the audience to participate. There were people who flopped and some who appeared as if they were auditioning, but everyone seemed to have a good time. If you're open minded, don't mind a couple lines of public speaking and want a full evening of entertainment, drinks and dinner, Agatha's is the placed. We loved it and plan to go back.

Something New for a Friday Night!. I recently visited Agatha's with my husband for his birthday. It was incredible! From the minute you walk in everyone is in character and making you laugh. You are also given a "role" in the play whether it is a speaking part (my husband got one b/c it was his birthday) or just a small part (I had to stand up and sing a song), everyone is involved.

The food was good, as well. I was a little skeptical about it to begin with b/c of some of the other reviews, but I thought it was fine. There was a whole table of appetizers to choose from when we walked in and every course the rest of the night was tasty. The only complaint I have is that the entrees only come with 2 vegetables so if you don't like them (which I didn't) you don't get completely full. There is wine going around all night, though, so that makes up for it.

In all, I had a great time, and I will definately be going back. This in my opinion makes a great spot to take relatives or friends from out of town, first dates, and anyone celebrating a birthday. So much fun!!

Branson, Missouri, this isn't, but it's the best dinner theater in Atlanta.. The Scene
Sure, getting entertainment with your meal in this town is no problem. But if you crave more interaction with your meal, try Agatha's--A Taste of Mystery, Atlanta's best shot at the dinner-and-a-show routine. The plays take place in the dining room between courses of the five-course meal (which includes a choice of beef, fish or chicken) and shows run approximately three-and-a-half hours.

The Draw
Participate in the evening's fun as much or as little as you choose. You could be the culprit or the victim. Upon arrival, you'll be assigned a role in the evening's comic mystery play. If you're feeling especially extroverted, you can even take a small speaking part.

Great Show for bad food. It's a "different" enviroment then most resturants but the food is terrible for the price they charge. The performers are definitely talented but again they charge way to much for food.

No Talent, Bad Food. I thought the show was corny and the food was like eating at a bus station at 3 in the morning in a rural area. The service was worse than Mcdonalds, and way to fast paced, no one here cares how happy or un happy you are since they already have your money. Not a very comfortable setting for dinner and a show.,,,what a mess.

AWESOME and FUNNY. I loved the show, it was funny, the staff was nice and efficient and the food was great. I went for my birthday with friends anf family and had a blast. I can't wait to go back and I highly recommend this to anyone, even kids can participate in the show, I saw all kinds of different people of all ages there.

Unique. The food was good, but not great like the service, but the show was entertaining and it was fun to have part in the show. I'm glad I went once for the experience (my anniversary) but would not return. Very social as you are seated in groups.

Fun!. Enjoyed myself. The interaction was wonderful. Great group activity. Go with a positive attitude and knowing you will be asked to participate and will have fun. Food was good, but wasn't the highlight of the evening. Felt it was worth the money, and would be willing to go back with a group of friends or coworkers.

It was great!. We showed up with 117 high school students and had a great time. The food could have been better, in terms of presentation, BUT, when you have to feed approximately 200 people in between acts and bus the tables before the play starts again, they did a great job. The wait staff was extemely pleasant kept up with the crowds needs. It's pure fun and a great experience if you are wanting to do something completly different.
