The Scene – Sure, getting entertainment with your meal in this town is no problem. But if you crave more interaction with your meal, try Agatha's--A Taste of Mystery, Atlanta's best shot at the dinner-and-a-show routine. The plays take place in the dining room between courses of the five-course meal (which includes a choice of beef, fish or chicken) and shows run approximately three-and-a-half hours. – – The Draw – Participate in the evening's fun as much or as little as you choose. Great Experience

After reading some of the reviews we almost did not go?
We are so glad we did go!
This place was awesome.
We went on a Friday and there were approximately 75 people. The fact that it was only 1/2 full might have made a difference?
We showed up on time (before 7:45) and so we got to enjoy the plentiful and delicious appetizers. The steak Kabob things on a stick was my favorite. We were all stuffed before the main course.
I had the fillet Mignon and it was so tender I could cut it with a fork.
The dessert was average strawberry shortcake. But seriously was so stuffed by then I did not care.
The wait staff was attentive and responsive. They did a great job.
The show was a blast. Actors were fun and everyone in the audience had some sort of participation. Laughed till I hurt!
In total was a great value for 3 hours of fun.
Looking forward to going again.
- Pros: Great Food and Fun
- Cons: Ate too much
We will laugh about this place for a very long time

I took my wife here for her birthday. We showed up about 7:50pm for a 8pm show. The appetizers were 90% gone. We were sure they were going to be refilled but never were. The hot appetizers are served in cold dishes so they were cold when we ate them. Nothing like cold fried mushrooms, chips and salsa and a meat and cheese tray with no crackers for an appetizer "buffet."
We bought a bottle of wine for $36, which ended up being the highlight of the night. The dinner theaters I have been to before have many actors and I kept expecting for there to be more than just 2 people performing. The room was a little awkward for the show. The room was only half filled and the crowd was very diverse, from very young to very old. We dressed pretty nice but were sitting next to people in jeans and t-shirts.
I had a fly in my water when we sat down. After we finished nibbling on our meats and cheeses we were served canned vegetable soup. The salad was equally non-impressive. For dinner we had the beef tenderloin and grouper. The grouper was ok but the tenderloin was tasteless. The couple across from us said the sauce on the salmon was too sweet. The potatoes and veggies that came with were extremely blah. The dessert was not the custard but a hard cake with strawberries. They serve you the dessert after the show is done so the servers are cleaning the tables as you eat which makes you feel rushed. I bussed tables for 7 years and you never start cleaning up until everyone is out of the room. What can you expect from servers when the tip is included in the price?
As far as the show, the 2 actors were good, but I was expecting a show and a meal for $120. For that money, we could have went to a very nice restaurant and had a great time. I would have paid $40 tops for this. Even if they included a bottle of wine in the price, it still wouldn't be worth it. I spent $160 on a busted night. Do you know the meal you can get for $160 in Atlanta? The show does no where near make up for the remaining cost.
The other patrons seemed to be having a great time so maybe it was just us. My advice, go if someone else is treating or it's a company event. At least we'll always have the memory of our terrible night to laugh about for all time.
- Pros: Still trying to fine one
- Cons: Food was terrible
Expect to perform & eat terrible food

This was not at all what i expected. I expected a mystery, however, it was a musical spoof. The 2 actors were entertaining, however, all guests have a speaking part that isn't optional. I wasn't to happy about speaking in front of 100 or so people even if it was only a few lines. I payed to be entertained, not be part of a show. The first course was good, however, the soup, salad, and dessert were tiny. Also after the waiter stressed that the filet mignon was only cooked medium rare, which is perfect for me, the steak came out so well done it tasted like charcoal. The waiters were not very attentive since the tip is included and the dining hall was awkward for a show. All in all, the show was entertaining, however, I wasn't too excited about paying $62.50 for two actors and terrible food! I wouldn't recommend this place unless you are planning on getting too drunk to taste the food.
- Pros: Cheesey but Entertaining
- Cons: Food was terrible
