The Scene – Wedged into a sharply canting asphalt hillside, this red cinderblock stand sports splashy, cartoon-art billboards and a small, partially enclosed patio. In the tiny main room recycled bus seats are jammed around heavily lacquered camp tables; fans circulate a warm, sticky breeze. Imagine away the traffic outside and you're at the funnel cake booth at the county fair. – – The Food – Best known for its Philly cheese steak, Woody's also serves six kinds of subs, two kinds of sausage and a "fat" hot dog, plus shakes, floats and sundaes. Slobfest!

The guy who made my sandwich wiped and cleaned his hands on his NASTY SHIRT! Nasty man! We live in the "glove era" dude; get with the program. PS, the sandwich was semi at best.
- Cons: Horrible hygiene!
Best Cheesesteak in Atl

Woody's is a classic. They stick to a basic menu of cheesesteaks and dogs. The staff is friendly, just two guys one takes orders and gets drinks while the other cooks. Great fast lunch if your in midtown. Dont waste your money going to philly connection or any other garbage fast food joints Woody's is the real deal!
- Pros: fresh sliced meat, fresh baked bread, screened porch dining
Worst. Cheesesteak. Ever.

Let me preface this by saying that we're from Philly...so maybe our expectations are out of whack, but I really tried to not expect much in going to this anything-but-authentic cheesesteak joint. First there was no parking, then we waited, and waited, and waited to be addressed, which is a pet peeve of mine. Is it really that hard for an employee to say, "I'll be with you in one minute" to acknowledge your presence?!? Finally our order was taken, and we proceeded to wait for an ENTIRE HOUR (I swear I'm not exaggerating) for two cheesesteaks (which, by the way, should NEVER include MUSTARD!) and two milkshakes. The food was mediocre at best--and the milkshake was just sad (how hard is it to make a milkshake?!?); it tasted like melted ice cream. By the time we got our food, from the less-than-efficient staff of two, we were just over the whole experience.
- Pros: Can't think of any
- Cons: LONG wait, poor food, shortage of parking and seating
