My Favorite Place to Eat for 15 Years. I absolutely love eating at Eats. I feel like it was made just for me to eat there. Everything there is perfect. I can't be objective about it. I love this place. I take people there to see if they are cool. If they like it, they're cool.
great cheap food!. Oh my gosh! This place was better than I expected. I ordered the erk chicken and 2 sides and was so surprised to get a real 1/2 of a chicken! It was flavorful, filling, and perfect. Their couscous is good and the service was extremely fast. My friend ordered the chicken alfredo and that was the best alfredo sauce we had ever tasted. They need to bottle it and sell it! It's not a pretty restaraunt, but you don't even notice because of the food! I can't wait to go back and try some more stuff!!
Best J*rk Chicken anywhere.
Eats is cheap and the j*rk chicken is perfect! i have not found better j*rk chicken anywhere else yet. the person who complained about the green beans and chicken i am going to write that off as them being pretentious, as this place is not fancy. I try to get downtown at least a couple times a month to eat here.
this is my absolute favorite place to eat anywhere.
cheap gourmet pasta and home cooking. I love the inexpensive prices and the variety of pasta with several different sauces and toppings on one side of the restaurant, then homestyle fair on the other. you can get baked chicken, and turkey meatloaf along with vegetables on the other side. whatever your taste, the food is within the budget.
great chicken! love eats!. how can a reviewer mention that they only take cash as their problem? that's YOUR problem. there's an atm there. spiff 'em the 2 bux bc it's worth it for the food. love the people, the food...parking is a pain but worth it. def the best cheap eats when you work downtown.
there's a place in my heart for Eats. i absolutely disagree with the idea that Eats shouldn't be considered 'romantic'. my wife and i enjoyed our first date there, and then several years later, i saw it fitting to propose to her there. we happen to live in new york city, among any number of cliche 'romantic hot spots', but none would be as meaningful nor as close to home as the far off Eats. we miss it greatly, but always make it our first destination while visiting ATL. thanks EATS!!
Decent Food - Cash Only.
Cheap eats - Basically a Meat and Two Sides or Pasta. Don't expect a five-star meal, but for the price, the food is not bad. It is far more tasty and far more healthy than any fast food chain. Service is fairly quick and easy. The best part of all is perhaps the mix of people dining in. Parking is available, but the lot is small.
Biggest Problem - Eats is Cash-Only. They've lost my business on multiple occasions because I generally don't have cash and don't care to spend the extra bucks at the ATM.
Overall a good place to grab a warm meal, just make sure you are carrying a $10.
HEALTHY, FRESH, SATISFYING, CHEAP: BE WARNED, IT MAY BE HABIT FORMING..
A very good idea, well executed. The ingredients are fresh, the menu is simple, but there are lots of permutations with three meats ( My surprise favorite is the turkey meatloaf ! ), more than ten vegetables/ sides, many pastas, and six or seven sauces. Drinks and deserts, too. Busy and worn, but clean. Food is served quickly; you pick it up at the counter, and choose a table. The quality is consistent, and a very good value. It's even great for vegetarians!
It is NOT romantic, leave your snooty attitude at home, but the staff is generally pleasant and helpful. As someone else said, it's a good place to go when when you haven't got a special place in mind. Or it may be your special place if good food is more important than impressing a guest!
Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! I warned you!.
Food is not that cheap. I spent 30 bucks on 3 people and nobody liked their food.
The food reminded me of my old high school cafeteria. It was horrible. Chicken was
bland and dry. Pasta had no flavor. Only go to this place if you want to be reminded of
your old high school cafeteria.
I would rather go to Wendy's.
My favorite!. Basically, if it's one of those days where you can't decide what you want, go to Eats. They have a really good menu with everything from Caribbean-Jerk Chicken to mac and cheese (both of which are yummy). I have daydreams about their fettucini alfredo with garlic bread. And it is all SO cheap--perfect for us college students and starving artist types. Don't expect a fine dining experience, though. While Eats is more relaxed than other short-order joints, service is fast and no-nonsense.
