The Scene
Piped-in jazz plays at the perfect volume while trendy patrons fill the dining room, bar and patio. The interior resembles an English hunt club, with oil paintings, dark woods, starched white linens and a wall-sized tapestry. Complimentary touches, like an amuse bouche to start and sweets with the check, are nice, but the buttoned-up tag team service is sometimes sluggish.
The Food
Mediterranean-influenced creations fall short of the restaurant's ambitious aim, as precious portions aren't always as assertive as described. Seared foie gras plated with a scallop and pear is rich and satisfying, but roulade of rabbit is too mild and tough, its lemon and olive accompaniment hushed. Salmon, with black-eyed peas and a sherry Dijon sauce, is perfectly poached, but duck with orange-scented squash lacks flavor. Lemon cake would benefit from more citrus; better is the chocolate hazelnut raspberry cake.

Eno sports a lavish menu of great Italian cuisine. Their wine list is simply to die for. While some of the menu items are a bit on the pricey side, they are absolutely wonderful.

Being new to town, my hubby and I just wandered up the street from our apartment to grab something to eat last weekend. We stumbled upon a mostly empty Mediterranian restaurant, with a inseresting sounding menu and went for it. Service really wasn't that prompt for a empty establishment. Food was very "iffy" In my opinon a chef needs to master the basics before going all out. Evil Kanevil didn't go straight for the grand canyon right off the bat... And he sure couldn't charge ubsurd prices if he crashed and burned! This place needs to really focus on the basics before we wander back in the doors.

I have visited this restaurant several times to eat dessert and buy fine wines from their cellar. My boyfriend and I have always wanted to try their restaurant and finally we decided to go before a show at the Fox theatre one night. Disappointed isn't even a strong enough word for how upset we were when we left. The hostess was unpleasant from the moment we walked in the door. We sat with empty glasses for more than 10 minutes to be acknowledged by a server which we never were even though several walked by our table. Finally the front house manager came over and took our drink orders. He was the same person that took our food orders and brought everything to us. They completely forgot to bring our appetizer. The food was overpriced and not good at all. Then we waited another 10 minutes for our check. When my boyfriend went to get the general manager to request the check, finally a server, who we never saw during our entire meal brought our check. She was rude and not apologetic at all. In fact, no one ever apologized for the delays even though they knew we were on a tight schedule to get to the theatre. And this is a restaurant that caters to the theatre going cliental. We were extremely upset when we left. We have eaten at a great deal of restaurants in Atlanta, but we have never had such a bad experience as we did at Eno. We will never recommend this restaurant to anyone we know. I am even willing to say we will never buy another bottle of wine from their store again based on our recent experience.
