Best Alterations for the money
by thelou
I have had great experiences with taking my jeans for NY hems. Even better than the high end department stores that charge way too much money. I also had several dress pants taken in from going down a size. They did a great job with those as well. For the money, it's the best quality work I have gotten. I have not noticed the customer service being that horrible, but would not take anything requiring a complex alteration. Bottom line is you get what you pay for, and if you want an experience that includes excellent customer service and complex alterations then you will end up paying for it.
- Pros: In and out, good quality on simple alterations
Don't waste your money or time

As mentioned, they do a good job on basic hems, but for bigger jobs they are terrible. I had to return a jacket to them THREE times because they did not do what I asked and paid them $80 to do. Simple things too, like tighten and replace buttons, and fix the pockets. They rush you out of the store, not allowing you to look at the work they've done. Then when you get home to really inspect the item, it becomes apparent why they rushed you out. Rather than explain they aren't equipped for a certain type of job, they claim they can do it, take your money up front and then skimp out on doing the actual work. This leaves you feeling frustrated and ripped off.
I would not go here again. It's too annoying to deal with people who aren't meeting their end of the deal.
- Pros: basic hems of pants
- Cons: no attention to detail, terrible craftsmanship, terrible customer service, overall bad
Great Work - especially on Jeans

I buy expensive jeans and always have to get them shortened. They do a great job and will do a NY Hem, so it doesn't even look like your pants were hemmed b/c the original bottom of the leg is still there!
- Pros: Great Attention to Detail
Never again.

They can do a pretty good job on small things, but larger things that require explanation are another story because most of them can't understand english. I once brought back a clothing item that they did a couple of months ago for some different work. As the lady looked at it, she said that whoever did the previous work did a bad job. Guess what? The previous work was done by them! And once they are done, they will rush you out in a hurry! I won't be using them again. They need to take a serious lesson in courtesy from Sig Samuel's dry cleaners. Best customer service in the South.
- Pros: Good on small stuff
- Cons: Language barrier, poor customer service
