What People Are Saying About The Old Spaghetti Factory

In Short – Whimsical antiques and decorative items--velvet armchairs, vintage-looking fringed lamps and booths made from iron bedsteads--fill the dining room. The OSF Classics menu offers spaghetti with a choice of mushroom sauce, rich meat sauce, browned butter and feta-like mizithra cheese sauce, and more. Other popular favorites are the baked lasagna--layers of noodles, tomato sauce and four kinds of cheese--and the fettuccine Alfredo. Meals include a green salad, fresh-baked bread and ice cream.

pasta isn't good anymore
by JPBaby
TOSF used to be the place to fo to when you were craving for good family style Italian food. Not anymore. The spaghetti with meatballs didn't taste as good as I remembered and the wait staff didn't even acknowledge our complaints.
Horrible service

Complained to management in a polite manner to the manager and he became angry and was asked to leave.
Horrible service-- will never go back
by vstev
I've been here many times. Most of the time service has been slow and spotty at best, with a few exceptions. I keep going back, though, for the great prices (salad, bread, entree, dessert for $10!) and the mizithra cheese dish, which I can't get enough of.
The last straw came this weekend, when I took some family from out of town here for dinner. We sat for 15 minutes before anyone came by to take our order, and it was the manager because there weren't enough servers on duty. We ordered a bottle of wine, and ten minutes later he came back to tell us they were out, and would be back "a few minutes later" to see what our other choice was. I told him that we were ready to order, so he hastily took our food orders, not bothering to ask if we wanted soup or salad.
Ten minutes later, no one had come back with bread, or to ask what drinks we wanted.
So we got up and left.
All in all, we were there for over 30 minutes with NOTHING to show for it.
Such a shame, because it has so much potential. But when even the managers don't care about your service, there's really no point in eating there.
I won't be back.
- Pros: Great food, awesome prices
- Cons: Worst service in town
Fun Place
by Ramesses
It's not a 5 star place to dine, but the food isn't bad and the tab at the end of the night including all the drinks....makes it worth a try. Been there several times and had pretty good service. Better with a group of people.
- Pros: Affordable
- Cons: None
Beautiful Site, Great Location, Lousy Food!
by LadyLuck51
Was there on Friday, loved the surroundings and the service was good. The food, however, was terrible. I had the lasagne- not even close to a well-known frozen brand. Tea was weak, not tasty. Portions small. I might have forgiven these things had the bread been good. Not so, cheap crumbly lacking in flavor and texture. My friend and I both ordered the italian sausage on the side- I did not find it edible and said so to the waiter. This could be a great family place given the decor and atmosphere- I wanted to bring my family on inauguration day- but didnt feel that I could explain the quality of the food. I wish I could understand the kind of thinking that goes into promoting a venue, on one hand, and shooting yourself in the foot with the food!
