“Great corner tavern atmosphere with top beer to match.”
“The food is great for a bar, and the beer selection is satisfactory.”
“Manuel's charms as a character-filled neighborhood hangout are a bit oversold for my taste, but that doesn't mean it isn't a good place to meet for drinks and workable bar food.”

“His love of people made this place unique-an absolutely wonderful establishment-that endures to this day.”
“Manuel himself was a huge supporter of the Atlanta democratic party.”
Classic!. No frills, but one of the best bars ever. All are welcome--cops, actors, students, politicos, parents, etc. Good food, including the most delicious onion rings this side of the Mississippi. Friendly staff and super fun trivia on Sundays. Go and enjoy an Atlanta institution!
Mauel's one of a kind. Manuel Maloof bought the pub as a one room bar, subsequently buying the whole building. His love of people made this place unique-an absolutely wonderful establishment-that endures to this day. If you know the denizen who frequent Manuel's or if you are from the outside it makes no difference; you are treated the same-with kindness and warmth. My friend, Manuel Maloof, has passed on. His memory continues.
Home to politicos and plumbers, this friendly half-century-old tavern is an Atlanta institution..
The Scene
Manuel's is a collection of oddly laid-out rooms that are unevenly shaped, plastered with vintage paneling and stained with history. Large booths and wooden tables give the unpredictable crowd plenty of room to spread out. Televisions broadcast CNN and sports--especially Braves games--as journalists and politicians wind down next to each other off the record. Atlanta Journal and Constitution editors and arc welders alike argue public policy and point spreads or play video golf and pinball.
The Draw
Everyone--construction workers and cops, literati and locals, white collar and blue collar--is equally welcome. Young Democrats, the Atlanta Press Club, the Georgia Film Production and the Atlanta Bar Association are just some of the organizations that congregate regularly. Another big draw is the above-average bar fare menu, which draws a brisk lunch business and includes wings, fried shrimp, the massive McCloskey burger, blackened tuna and filet mignon.
Rockin' wings.
I never knew a chicken wing could taste so good! Perfectly fried to a crispy brown, the roaster size wings remain moist and juicy inside. Tossed in sauce, dunked into some incredible, chunky blue cheese and prepare to lick your fingers!
Besides the wings, Manuel's barstaff is extremely friendly and efficient. Nice selection of brews on tap, including a few micros.
Just one complaint: bar seating needs updating.
Yum!!. Food is excellent at Manual's. Best bar food & great selection. Plenty of interesting people & conversation. Great place to sit & drink for a LONG time!
Old and smokey. This place is way too old and smokey. Not a place for meeting anyone of the opposite sex unles you are into old and smokey people!
Best Service In Atlanta. Greatest Bartenders in Atlanta. Their service is incomparable...friendly, prompt, and they remember your name!
Best Atlanta BAR. This is the BEST neighborhood bar in Atlanta!!!Without a dought. You've got to go there to realize it.!!!!!
Suds City. As a student at Georgia Tech, Manuel's was a welcome escape from reality. Years later, it still is!
gotta go. Nostalgia, mediocre food, surly bartenders, just love the place, and it's probably the second best bar in Atlanta.
