Great Hair Cut. I was referred to Cortex by a friend and I am so thank ful. I always get my hair cut with Krista. She does a great job and really listens to what I want. My hair is really thick and she does a fantastic job of thinning it and layering it. I'm always happy with my hair now.

Cortex - Best salon in Atlanta!. I recently visited Cortex in Virginia Highlands. I have to say this place is amazing!! The staff is so friendly and welcoming. It's nice to see smiling faces for a change. The stylists are amazing. A very talented group of people. I've been to many salons in Atlanta, and this is by far the most professional, comfortable environment I have experienced. I have found my new salon!!!!!!!!!

Bad Experience and will never go back.. I had a haircut there and the next day I noticed it was uneven (one side was longer than the other). When I called the salon to request a fix, they told me my stylist couldn't see me until next Wednesday (7 days later). When I asked if another stylist could fix it, she said they would have to charge me. When I said that I would have to go to another salon, she just said, "OK" and hung up on me. I will never go back and will make sure to tell everyone I know what horrible customer service I had.

Fantastic. My experience at Cortex Highlands was fantastic! I am a curly-headed girl with SEVERAL unpleasant salon experiences under my belt. The atmosphere was mellow (not like walking into a rave like most salons) and I left with the best cut I have ever had. Brandy worked magic with my naturally curly hair - fuzz and unruly kink has been replaced with beautifully defined curls. If you are looking for a stylist and are tired of the salon scene, go to Cortex.. you won't be disappointed!

100% Satisfied. I had a wonderful experience at Cortex. The place has a relaxed but professional feel and the staff makes you feel right at home as soon as you walk in the door.

***the place to go for out of towners**. this is the place to go for any kind of spa treatments. Ask for Saida and do any of the Thalassotherapy Treatments. They are amazing! Saida did mine and was the most relaxing treatment i have ever had from nashville to japan to central america-- unbelieveable!

A treat!. Cortex spa has all the services of larger salons but is much less of a rat race and has friendly staff who make you feel right at home. It could be your first visit or 15th and you are equally welcomed. Anna's facial and Kristi's massages are my favorite treats!

Kudos to Josh at Cortex. Josh is a true professional, an amazing artist, and just a cool guy in general. I highly recommend seeing him - if you can get in! The last time I was there I saw Emily (of the Indigo Girls) ... the salon is mellow (expect to hear Miles Davis playing, for example) and subtle. If Van Michael is too much of a "scene" for you, you'll love this salon with hardwoods, gorgeous crown molding, and no-attitude staff. See you there!
