I've been to salons all over the metro Atlanta area and about 7 years ago, I went to Van Michael for the first time and have yet to go anywhere else since! Unfortunately, recently moving to Portland has put me on the search again for a colorist and stylist... having yet to find anyone here, I fly back to have my hair done at Van Michael. Joey is the goddess of color. She's kind and beautiful, listens to what I have in mind, shares her opinion... and voila! Magic! You will love, love, love her! I've yet to recommend anyone to her that hasn't. Recently, I saw Rob for my cut and he's a genius. It's the best hair cut I've had in 29 years. He's kind and sincere and a visionary and an artist!

The worst experience of all!. Unfortunately, I went to Van Micheals at 39 West Paces Ferry Road Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30305, to get a spiral perm with KHIA MCLENDON and I ended up paying a total of $404.92; I ended having a half of my hair completely straight and after talking to the manager I was told that KHIA did not feel like helping me because she is one of the top ones and she knew what she was doing. So, save your time and money on this one

A worry free salon.. I had my hair colored by a young lady today named, Tong. Never before have I had such a fantastic color job done. It is beautiful. My hair was in such a mess where I had tried to do it myself and another salon had tried to fix it. Thank you so very much Tong. I will continue coming to your salon for her to do my color.

Nilan is great!!!. If you are the kind of person who just wants to sit down and trust the person doing your hair, Nilan is perfect for you. She always as an idea of what would look good on me and I never have to worry about not liking the cut. Great conversations and good people watching are added bonuses.

Their Loss. I am sadden to know that Michael Campbell is no longer with Van Michael. He is the BEST, it's unfortunate because a lot of women of color are loyal clients.

Love my color!!!. My friend tried to help me save money by coloring my hair with color from CVS. It was a disaster! I live near the Highlands so I booked an appointment with Van Michael and was able to get in with Jyll. Not only did she fix my color but it looked better than it did before I tried to do it at home and it felt healthy too. I am hooked. I highly recommend Jyll.

Jaime is excellent for color, great customer service. I am really into having natural looking highlights, and I could not be happier with Jaime... she's a perfectionist and really into making it what you want. The salon is nice as well, with some great stylists...

best salon service anywhere. I started seeing Lexi for color and Mekaylah for a cut at the Highlands location about a year ago, and I'm impressed every time I go into the salon. Lexi always explains everything she's doing so I'm not expecting anything that's not possible for my dark dark brown hair, and she's taken me fiery red back to brown and everything in between in that time. Mekaylah is a great haircutter, reasonably priced and always on time! She handles my very thick, wavy hair with ease!

Best salon in the south. I've lived in a few southern cities and Van Michael's has to be the most consistently excellent salon I've been to. I see Rob for my haircuts and Stuart for my color. I really can't say enough about those guys. They feel more like friends to me at this point. I guess the only negative thing I could say about them is that it's damned hard to get in with them unless you book an appointment in advance. I suppose that's the price you pay for being in demand!

Will. So I have been trying to find a hairdresser for years and had given up my search when a friend recommended Van Michael Salon in buckhead. Unable to force myself to go to Buckhead I opted for the salon closest to me and am forever grateful I did.

Will not only made me feel great about myself and my look, but he took the time to explain which cuts would go best with my face. Luckily he talked me out of a Beckham for my face shape and kep me from being a victim to a trend I could not carry. Thanks Will!!!
