Great Hotel BUT.... It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

Nice not amazing. I forget the name of the room we stayed in. It was a private cottage with a main room, bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a large screened in porch. The owners were away when we stayed. The girl that greeted us was nice and showed us to our cottage. It is nicely decorated, but obviously not recently. Stained fabrics and rips on the sitting room furniture. The fireplace was not operating that weekend which was a disappointment and something I thought they should have shared with us upon booking. The whirlpool tub also was dated. It's also on a busy street so it was noisy at night. The brunch the next morning wasn't very good and people were wandering around even into the private kitchen to find what they needed -- there was no staff in sight. For a place that was so highly recommended we were disappointed. I think it is over priced for what you get.

Gaslight Inn is superior. My girlfriend and I traveled to Atlanta during the first weekend of June. We found the Gaslight Inn and could not have been happier! The rooms are very tastefully decorated and clean. The Gaslight is located in the Highlands, near food, bars, and shopping; also it is just a short drive to the downtown sights! We are planning on returning to Atlanta in September and we're bringing friends...you can bet we're staying at the Gaslight!

Excellent B&B. This is a top-notch b&b. The host, Mark, could not have been more helpful with regard to dining options, getting around town, arranging cabs, etc. We stayed in the little house in the back (Ivy Room) which was relaxing and well-appointed and spacious. By the way, this place is an exceptional value, too.

The Gaslight Inn - "Our Favorite Place to Stay". When we visit our son in Atlanta, we love staying at the Gaslight Inn. Not only is it just across the street from where he lives in the Virginia Highlands area, but it is also a lovely and comfortable place to be. The rooms are wonderfully decorated, cozy and clean. Breakfasts are delicious and fun. And the living room with its fireplace and the casual great room make us feel welcome and right at home. There are snacks and drinks available at anytime of the day or night. We have had several wonderful and memorable stays at the Gaslight Inn, and we highly recommend it to anyone interested in the best in Southern hospitality and comfort.

A great respite in the city. We just finished a weekend away in Atlanta and stayed at the Gaslight. Kudos to Michael and his help in setting just about everything up for us before our arrival - restaurant recommendations, reservations, flowers in the room, the list goes on. This type of attitude from the staff and owners as a whole permiated through the whole weekend making this a definite place to stay every time we come to town. The accomodations are in the classic, quirky, unique sense that you are going to find in any renovated older chopped up Victorian house. Location is key - literally walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants that Virginia Highland has to offer. Parking is tight in VH but when you can walk to everything that is not an issue. We cannot wait for our next visit.

Virginia-Highland inn provides a romantic city getaway.. The Scene
This Craftsman-style home fosters tranquility with its gorgeous views of the garden and fishpond from the front porch swing. Modern conveniences are balanced by the Old-World charm of bungalows and the working gaslight fixtures for which the inn is named. Within walking distance is the Virginia-Highland neighborhood's famed shopping and dining; downtown and Midtown are only minutes away.

The Details
Bright, colorful accommodations are offered in the primary residence, the Carriage House and the Victorian Cottage. Whirlpool tubs, steam baths and balconies accompany hand-painted furnishings in some rooms and suites. Amenities include modem connections, VCRs, voice mail and answering machines. Gaslight illuminates impromptu musical concerts on the baby grand piano, as well as an expanded continental breakfast, which includes fresh-squeezed juice, muffins and sweet breads.
