pristine food and service. I have used citysearch for years and have never written a review until now. Dish was unbelievable. The ambiance is dim, but not dark. The food is delicious. Loved the duck tacos, pass on the crab cakes. Drinks are great and very strong. The skate wing was suberb. Loved it, can't wait to go back.

Still my Favorite. After we ventured to try vine on Monday and having such a disappointing experience, we headed to our consistent favorite to enjoy some of chef Sherri's tastes. Not wanting a heavy meal on a warm night relaxing on Dish's great patio, we started with some Rosemary Popcorn with a couple of cocktails, then we did some wine pairings from their excellent by the glass list, that is very fairly priced, with the Asian Shrimp Lollipops, and the Mini Crab Cakes with Mango Salsa. What a wonderful relaxing evening. Dish has always been our favorite in the Highlands and Chef Sherri keeps her menu current with very creative selectings that are perfect for every season. Not to knock Vine further, but their new spring menu we tried was really a disappointment with heavy dishes like a pork chop, deep fried crab fritters and tough skirt steak which are more fall or winter items than spring/summer when you want light and flavorful.

Great Atmosphere and Food. Dish is one of those places that as you pull up you can tell it is going to be cool place given its architecture, sign, etc. Sometimes, you get a place that is "too cool" but I am happy to report that is not the case here. We arrived a few minutes early and found a nice spot at the bar before being shown our table. Our main waiter was a little stiff but the enthusiasm and personality of Sheri Davis (owner/chef) warmed up the whole place. The food was amazing - modern twists on some familiar items done in a way that came across at just plain good - not too complex and "fancy." We had the crab fritter and calamari salad which both had great crisp but the focus remained on the seafood. Also the cheese tray with local cheeses - simple but excellent. While the free form lobster lasagna tempted us, we both went with the porcini encrusted filet - an interesting preparation that worked very well. One slight downside is that due to the preparation it may be a little difficult to get it cooked to the right doneness on first try - we had to send one back. 3 minutes later we were both enjoying. Bottom line - cannot wait to get back to Atlanta to visit Sheri and try out the rest of the menu.

Good Food. Was too hot to sit on the patio friday night (our favorite spot), so we settled in to an inside table. The food was very good and well done. The tomato and fried mozz tower is very good and an interesting twist on a common item. We enjoyed everything else and maybe because we bought an expensive wine, the server bought us dessert which we thought was very nice. Our only complaint is their chairs are not comfortable and it is hard to enjoy your dinner in such uncomfortable chairs. The interior is a bit cold from an appearance standpoint, but I guess it is the look they are after and fits their eclectic style.

Great food in a friendly atmosphere!. Some friends and I dined together at Dish and we were wowed with the special menu they offered our group at such a reasonable price! Each course was scrumptious and attractive, the wait staff and chef were so nice, free parking was plentiful across the street, and the outdoor dining was quite pleasant. I would recommend Dish to groups, large or small.

still a good neighborhood gem. We visited with in recent weeks and the dinner was great. with so many newer restarants in town I think dish may get overlooked, but it is well worth the trip everytime. If you go with 4 or more people I recommend spending $3 for the rosemary and pinenut popcorn "taste". It's a big enough bowl for a group and it is quite yummy. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the entrees and there are some real finds on the wine list.

my dining experience. First, my only complaint---We were seated directly by the entrance to the restaurant. I've never understood why restaurants even bother having seating near a door or near the kitchen, it absolutely makes no sense. Other then that though the dinner was excellent. I had the evenings special which was halibut. The sauces for the fish and potatoes I had were very tasty. As with all restaurants in this price range though drinking even 1 glass of wine really adds to the bill ($100 total for 2 people with 2 glasses of wine each) but I'd definitely go back, next time making sure I would not be seated in front of the entrance.

Lovely evening. Took some out-of-town guests to Dish on Sat night and loved it. I could see how parking might be a hassle, but I found a spot right up front next to the door. Upon entering, we told the host that we were 20 minutes early and 2 members short of our party thus far. He said no problem and took only 5 minutes to prepare the table and seat us. I have no compliants about the service since our drinks & food arrived timely. I had the skate w/ haricot verts and potatoes and it was very tasty with only 1 criticism - it seemed to be a bit salty. My bill for 3 of the guests was for $98, and that included the Rosemary Pine Nut Popcorn, 3 entrees & 2 glasses of wine. Overall a great pick.

Nice Highlands find!. After probably driving by Dish a good 30 times, four of us decided to give it a try. It was one place we hadnt been yet in the Highlands, and didnt have a reservation ANYWHERE. I walked in and asked if they could accommodate a party of 4 without a reservation, and the hostess was very pleasant and said yes. We sat at the bar long enough to sample a few of their signature cocktails, and were very pleased with our drink selections. The muscles and calamari salad highlighted the appetizer selections. Both were outstanding and highly recommended. Entrees ranged from lamb tenderloin of risotto, to the filet, to the halibut special, to the Portobello polenta vegetarian serving. Truly something for everyone. Dessert was highlighted by the passion fruit bread pudding and the pear tart. We all LOVED our food, and will definitely be visiting Dish again!
