In Short
Popular for weekend brunch and as a weeknight standby, this neighborhood favorite draws a crowd with friendly service and an attractive setting. Just inside is a large wine room, a tempting dessert case and a stylish marble bar ideal for solo diners. The comfortable main dining rooms feature exposed brick, thick linens and warm woods. Homemade baked goods and solid egg dishes dominate Atlanta's most popular brunch, whose secret weapon is an impossibly rich hollandaise sauce. The dinner menu appropriately is centered with well-prepared, contemporary comfort food. A gently pan-fried crab cake starter is competent; a lighter bet is the seasonal starter salad tossed with goat cheese. Entrees tend to lean on local and regional flavors, with Georgia mountain trout and Springer mountain chicken sitting alongside other comfy-cuisine like truffle mac 'n' cheese and a cracklin' pork shank. Save room for dessert, especially Tollhouse pie a la mode.

I can't believe Murphy's has been around for over 25 years, amazing. That's a huge compliment, especially in the fickled restaurant business, ...enough already! Brunch at Murphy's is to die for, my specialty... egg white omelet, the food is always freshly prepared. It's the perfect spot for a romantic date for 2 or a secret rendezvous! Save room for scrumptious desserts. The restaurant offers an extensive wine list and an ambiance you won't forget! I guarantee you won't be disappointed, there's also valet parking.

food wasn't spectacular & in VaHi there is a lot of competition - several @ our table had the halibut w/ mashed potoates; it tasted good but for $17 it was overpriced in my opinion -- desserts looked really good, i might make a trip back for dessert/coffee next time -- took out of town guests & they enjoyed the atmosphere & location, plus 10 min wait was awesome since i was expecting much longer

The grilled chicken sandwich and tollhouse pie are both amazing. Highly recommended! They also have a good wine selection and a wine store attached to the restaurant.
