Supermarket chain offers patrons well-stocked shelves of groceries and household products..
The Kroger Co. was founded in 1883 Ohio, by Bernard Henry Kroger. Since then the chain has expanded throughout much of the Southeast, acquiring several other grocery brands. Today, Kroger stores offer a wide variety of items, ranging from fruits, vegetables and meats to dairy, fresh-baked goods, housewares, beer and wine, books, magazines and flowers. Most locations also have a pharmacy and photo lab.
Not a lot of money for food?.
If you're running low on cash, but need to go grocery shopping, this is the place to come. The unappetizing produce, the dingy atmosphere, the poor dry foods selection--they all equal out to a very low grocery bill. I can't ever seem to bring myself to spend more than $30 at this Kroger. Oh, and the lines are always super long.
