I won't stray again. Yes, I ventured out and tried Food 101. It does not have the family neighborhood feel of Atkins and most of all the food did not even come close to the great menu selections, home style cooking and large portions you get at Atkins. Not to mention at a better price. I don't need to pay for a fancier look. I like the comfortable feel of Atkins Park with my friends. The positive is, by venturing out, I found out how good we have it here. I will be loyal in the future.

The Bull & Finch Pub...of Atlanta. For you "non-damn-Yankees" the real name for the famous Boston bar and setting for the TV series, "Cheers!" is "The Bull & Finch Pub". Atkin's Park has exactly that type of old school, down-to-earth hospitality, drinker's bar, and a consistantly tastey menu. I actually met my now wife there some 8 years ago. Atkin's is divided into (at least) two distinct scenes: the restaurant side is a more private area with tall booths while the bar side transforms from a quiet daytime bar scene into a lively bar scene by night. As for the (obviously OTP) folks who went there after IMAX, sorry, Va Hi does not cater to the Applebee's crowd. When you are there on a Friday night, it *will* be crowded. Say hi to Irv for me...

Great Ceasar Salad. Great food! Great atmosphere! We have been here twice and loved it both times. Not from Atlanta area but would definitely come here just for the food. Just an overall great place.

1st stop on the crawl. This is always my first stop on the Highlands crawl. They play great music, obscurer Alt rock which is always rare in Atlanta. Very laid back feel. Can easily get crowded latter in the evening.

Soooo yummy!. I was so surprised that this neighboorhood bar had such an appetizing menu, and even more so when the food melted in my mouth. I had the trout, which was OUT OF THIS WORLD! The service was excellent. Don't miss this spot.

Once was enough. After having a great time at Martini's at the Imax. We wanted to grab a late dinner. Someone sent us to Atkins. It was nearly impossible to find a parking spot and then when we finally did we were told it was permit parking only, on a public street!! The food was ok. Someone had the fried chicken and loved that but I had the filet and it was overcooked and tough. Also don't offer a very high quality wine list. All and all I wouldn't say its worth fighting for a parking spot and the bar crowd was loud.

It Is What It Is. Atkins Park is a great place to grab a beer and have a plate of hot food. They consistantly please me with an American/Cajun menu of simple choices such as fried chicken and mashed potatoes, to spicy fried catfish. The ambiance is what it is, of a local pub kept up with. Service has always bene pleasing, and the prices are reasonable. Definitely a great place to eat or have a drink after work.

pinch and suck. I have spent a lot of time in the bayou and I have to tell you for being in the south-- it doesn't get much better than Atkins. I love the staff that work there. Mellifluous...

To the Contrary.... I totally disagree with the last rating entitled "the customer is always wrong!". I have been going to Atkins Park for years and find it to be one of the more enjoyable bar/restaurant atmospheres in town! I frequently bring collegues and clients in for lunch (and I work for a major Atlanta corporation) because I know I will get excellent service and quality food. The pleasant interaction between staff and customers is excellent. It really makes you feel and look good. The drinks are poured like they should be and Chef Rusty is a true talent! I will put his menu up against other Va. Highlands restaurants any day!!!
