Campbell-Stone a great place to live!. I have been a resident for four and a half years. Campbell-Stone is a wonderful place to find friends and have fun. I love that there are plenty of things to participate in from exercise programs to volunteer opportunities as well as trips. You will love it
Campbell-Stone is the place to be.... ...whether you are looking for a wonderful community to live or to work. I am a former employee of Campbell-Stone Retirement Community, and the only reason I left there was to care for my two young children. I worked at Campbell-Stone for almost 9 years as a social worker/service coordinator, and I can't think of a better place to be when I grow older. The staff are dedicated to the quality of life of the residents and are always striving to embrace the concepts of independence, dignity, respect, and community. Once residents move to Campbell-Stone, they don't want to leave. The same is true for the staff. It is hard to find many places these days that put people first and really strive to live their mission statement - Campbell-Stone is a rare find in today's society. I am proud to have been a part of the Campbell-Stone community, and because of the kind of people who live and work there, I will always feel a part of it.
A good place to stay. My long time friend Richard found himself needing a place to live as all of his group had moved on. Our pastor, Shelia Preacer of Winters Chapel Methodist Church in Doraville suggested we talk with Campbell Stone and that was three months ago. There was a waiting period but talking with the residents where some have been for 7 years or more, they can not get over how all the staff is dedicated to helping, things are always clean and everyone goes out of their way to help you get adjusted. You don't have to speak to special envoys, just go stand by the elevator and ask anyone. We need to help places like this as they are going the RIGHT thing. digger don, over
The best place to work!. To be honest, as a staff member I am bias but I can tell you this; I have never worked for a better organization. Everyone here cares for each other and we all treat the residents as if they are our own family! The motto many of us go by is that we want Campbell-Stone to be a place where we would want to live and I believe we achieve this goal! I had no aspirations to work in this kind of field but a short temp job has turned into my lifelong career serving this community! I am blessed to work with such a great staff and with such warm hearted and loving residents that go out of their way to welcome everyone!
A great place to live and retire. My Mother moved to Campbell Stone North after 80 years in a small town. I was worried that the adjustment would be difficult. Just the opposite. She fit right in immediately. Everyone welcomed and befriended my Mother like family. The facility is clean, well managed and very safe. They have plenty of activities and genuinely care about everyone who lives or works there. I cannot say enough great things about Campbell Stone.
A place to call home. "The people are so friendly!", "There is so much going on!", "I could not have asked for a better place to live!", are just a few of the numerous positive comments that I have heard from residents who live at Campbell-Stone. I have worked here for almost ten years, and not only do I feel like the residents are my family, but I have created my family here too! Over the years, I have observed residents come to our community with reservations about entering a new environment and creating a new place to call home. These same residents are now beaming with excitement, participating in ongoing activities, joining active groups, and establishing roots. I truly feel that Campbell-Stone is a wonderful place to live and to work and I would highly recommend it to my own friends and family.
Activities.
I am so happy to work in such a great community. • Red Hat Society
• Wii Sports
• Movie Nights

Spending time with our wonderful residents has made Campbell-Stone my home away from home. I am so honored to call Campbell-Stone my second family…
A Calling. I came to Campbell-Stone 6 years as an intern to complete my seminary education. I was drawn in by the residents first of all......as well as the mission of Campbell-Stone and the way in which the staff (and residents) carry out this mission. Upon completion of my year, I literally begged to stay on as staff in that I wanted to be a member of this team that provided care, compassion, integrity, and interdependence with respect and excellence to older adults. I quickly learned that my calling was here in this community.
Much more than an apartment!. My mother moved into Campbell Stone in Sandy Springs 18 months ago. She spent her first 87 years in Texas, in homes with acreage, which meant moving into an apartment in Atlanta, Georgia was a major move, in many ways. The Campbell Stone staff was there to assist her with the transition, and provided many opportunities for her to socialize, and make new friends. Mother enjoys eating in the dining room, and is even experiencing new and different foods. At the age of 88 she felt she needed to stop driving and because Campbell Stone provides transporation to shopping and doctors, the loss of a car has not been as great as she was concerned it might be. I am never concerned about her safety or her security because of the many services that are in place. She didn't want to leave Texas, but now that she is here she tells everyone she meets, "Campbell Stone is my home, and I love it here. This is where is need to be". I agree with her, and I am thankful Campbell Stone is there for her, and for me.
Campbell-Stone Apts - Buchhead. Campbell-Stone has a very friendly, caring and warm atmosphere. The lobby is very nice and the staff gives you a warm feeling of caring and ready to take care of your needs.
