The best salon in ATL - best colorist!!!. I found Carter Barnes on Paces and Jackie (aka the Color Goddess) about twelve years ago through a friend, and it is fabulous! I have very long, very curly hair and could never find anyone who knew how to work with it in my life before. I will never go anywhere else, even though I have now moved from intown to Cumming! They also did my updo for my wedding...awesome!

my love to you marian. carter barnes is a great salon, but what makes the place shine is their current rockstar stylist and genuine lady of atlanta, marian mendenhall.

she gives amazing cuts, listens to your input when it comes to how you would like your style out and cut, and i think she used to work for beyonce because she's a RELAXER MASTER! much love marian, and much love carter barnes!

Fabulous Color Goddess!. Jackie Stewart at Carter Barnes on Paces is truly an amazing hair colorist! She's known as the "color goddess" from those that have experienced her great talent!

I'm a hard to please Blonde - she's always done an exceptional job with both color and highlights. Jackie is always willing to talk through various color options, latest color technology, and is a perfectionist to the client's benefit.

The latest thing I've seen her do is the new Brazillian Highlight - FABULOUS!

I always get lots of compliments on my hair - all thanks to the Color Goddess! I'm hooked and will continue to use Jackie and Carter Barnes as long as I'm in Atlanta. They are truly the BEST in town!

my favorite stylist. Marian Mendenhall has been styling my hair for about three years. she is always pleasant, professional, and most importantly makes my hair look AWESOME! she is the only stylist i have ever trusted to take change my hair to so many different colors and styles. she understands my personal style and face shape, and i always get tons of compliments on my hair. carter barnes is a comfortable atmosphere, and i will continue to see marian forever!

Love my hair!. I had not had my hair done professionally in 3-4 years. When I finally decided to get it done, I went to Carter Barnes, and Marian Mendenhall was my stylist. She did a great job with the cut/color and the end result was exactly what I wanted. I was not sure on the color I wanted so I let Marian do what she thought would look best. The color turned out great! I have received so many compliments on my hair. Thanks!

Wonderful Experience Everytime!. When I first moved into the Atlanta area, I was recommended by a close friend to go to Carter Barnes and told to request stylist Marian Mendenhall. I'm not going to lie, by being an African-American woman and allowing a Caucasian stylist to do my hair I was a little hesitant. As soon as I walked into the salon and met her for a consultation, the hesitation went away. She was not only knowledgeable in various hair types, including mine, she was very warm and had a great personality. We decided on cutting my hair into a stylish bob and adding highlights. It turned out amazing and received many compliments. That was about a year and a half ago and I have been going to her to her regularly ever since. I have recommended her to all of my friends with various hair types and they all say the same thing, WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE EVERY TIME

best salon in atlanta. I have the best hairstylist in Atlanta! She is very good with bleach and toning. I never have any damage and am always getting compliments on how pretty my hair is and how healthy it looks. Everyone thinks it's my natural color. Marian Mendenhall is my stylist and colorist. I also love the atmoshere at Paces Ferry Pl., because it is low key and relaxing. Everyone is so friendly and I always feel at home.

Jackie Best Colorist. Hey just had great color by Jackie Stewart. Great Salon ambience and Jackie always make for a fun visit. Love the location. Walking distance to Full Cup for yummy healthy eats and Whole Foods! Triple play!

Welcome Back, Elizabeth! Love ya!. Hello world...

Just wanted to take a minute to tell you how awesome Carter Barnes is and especially Elizabeth, my stylist! I just love her! She is so talented and I can't say enough good things about her. I get SO many complements on my hair everyday! People always say how beautiful my hair is both cut and color (which is something I never heard until I found Elizabeth). I have very thin, fine hair (and not a lot of it)! She makes it look fabulous. She has been my stylist for over 10 years and she just came back from maternity leave for the second time. I think EVERYONE should come to her if they want to look and feel great. Call Elizabeth Giordano at Carter Barnes on Paces! I can truly say she is IRREPLACABLE!

Everyone's comfortable here. Carter Barnes Paces is the perfect salon - its' low-key, neighborhood-like setting and friendly atmosphere houses a group of highly-skilled, yet human and unpretentious salon professionals. I've been coming here for years and have appreciated and enjoyed the honest and caring advice and treatment. They make me feel like a client - listening to my needs, rather than like a source of revenue. I also bring my teenage daughter here for haircuts, which she finds sylish and I find age-appropriate. I've watched clients of all ages and genders come through the doors of the salon over the years - each looking as comfortable as I feel when I'm here.
