A week ago I got my first Brazilian wax at Kim's Day Spa and I have to say the experience was EXCELLENT. I was sooooooooooooooooo nervous (honestly I was terrified) because I didn't know what to expect because I have always shaved and I have heard everybody elses horror stories and of course that made me a little nervous. So I took a couple of Goody's powders before I went in and I really didn't need to. Ms Kim eased my fears and made me feel very comfortable. Her technique is wonderful and very detailed and on top of all of that it was so fast I didn't have a chance to jump. Before I knew it she was done. I HIGHLY recommend anyone who wants a Brazilian wax to see Ms Kim. I now have a one stop shop for everything, mani/pedi, facials, massage, and now Brazilian wax.
My skin was dull looking which in turn made me look older and no girl out there wants that. So I heard of Kim's Day Spa and decided to go there for a facial to see what could be done to help my lifeless looking skin. After one look at my skin as I was walking through the door, Mrs Kim already knew what my skin needed which was a chemical peel. I was scared at first but after she educated me on the process I felt better. After she applied the peel everything happened just as she said it would. 30 minutes later I looked like a totally different person. My skin was glowing. It was no longer lifeless it was BEAUTIFUL. I looked younger!!! Another thing I loved about Mrs Kim is that she answered all of my concerns and she told me step by step what I needed to do to keep my skin looking young and radiant. If you are looking for a good skin care therapist that actually cares about your skin Kim's Day Spa is where you need to go.
First visit - will probably return. Not a bad first experience at this salon, made cheaper by Groupon but probably not very expensive normally... had a good pedicure (with lasting effect) and an OK manicure.
Great gel manicure. Today was my second visit to Kim's and I enjoyed this visit as much as the last. Both times, I had a Lotus pedicure and gel manicure. Kim did my manicure and my nails look great! Another lady did my pedicure and my feet look as great as my fingers. Both ladies were so sweet and gentle with my hands and feet. I'll definitely be back!
Worst mani/pedi EVER!!!. I've never had a mani/pedi that left me with hangnails. My cuticles are basically shredded. Also, the polish was old, and the nail tech only used ONE pathetic coat of polish on my nails. If it weren't for the mediocre massage, this groupon would've been a complete waste of money.
Unfortunately, this place is really bad news.
I've been coming to this salon for a little over two years. I always drop in every other month and I only want the same ppl to work on me. However, It seems to me that I only have the same tech twice then they stopped working there. It appears strange to me!! And this time I stopped by to get my nails done. The shop was empty ; Kims and Pong were out and about. So, I started the conversation with my tech. She said the reason people don't work here more than three months because their MANAGERS CHEATED ON THIER TIPS!!!! I was "astound." She spoke with a very low voice saying that if she checked client out then she got good tips but if the managers did it for her then she only made 2 to 5 bucks for any service. I said "then don't let your managers check your clients out; you go ahead and check them out" and she just smiled. Later I got a wax from this american girl, she asked if I could hand the tips to her instead of to the managers. I responded "sure and why?" She didn't respond.
So, if you plan to get any service here at this salon, please give your gratitudes to your tech or make sure that the person whom serve you know that you leave a tip for them and how much.
Amazing job. fabolous skincare therapist ..very relaxing...friendly tech..she did a great job taking of my skin..my nails lasted for almost three-week..
awesome jobs.
Well, after I purchased groupon from this place and read all the negative reviews about the salon. I was sort of hesitated to go here but after all, I was a happy customer. Loved my facial, she was very knowledgeable and had great hands.
My nails done right and looked great.
I stopped at this salon twice. Both times, I was always offered a glass of wine or water by her. She's never used another language while performed the services---ahn.

Worst pedicure I've ever gotten!.
I purchased a groupon for this place and do NOT recommend it!
Even though I made an appointment, I still had to wait, and since I scheduled this for my lunch hour, I was pressed for time.
The actual manicure/pedicure was the WORST pedicure I've ever gotten. The lady doing it was unpleasant, harsh, and rude. She only removed hang nails and painted my toes. She didn't scrub my feet to remove dead skin; she didn't massage my feet; and she didn't cut my toenails.
While removing a hang nail, she forcefully kept cutting and made my toe bleed a lot! She couldn't get it to stop bleeding for a couple minutes even after putting pressure and some weird green liquid on it. It seemed highly unsanitary.
She then yelled at me like it was my fault when SHE rolled down my pant leg and it smeared the toe nail polish!
Kim did my manicure at the same time, and while she was pretty nice, she was talking on the phone a lot right there in front of me; she didn't cut the cuticles or anything, only painted; and the polish was not put on well. Basically all the sides of my nails were not painted!
Then, still thinking I should give a tip even though I didn't want to, I tipped almost 15% of the total cost of a mani/pedi (not 15% of the groupon cost), they still had the gall to ask if that's all I was going to tip!!!!
I will not return to this establishment, and I will warn other people as well!
I've been going to the Glamour Nails in Vinings in the Vinings Junction shopping center next to Laseter's Tavern, and I will continue going there from now on!!!
