“She was so attentive, apologizing for touching me with cold hands and warning me when inserting a push pin.”
Damaged Shirts and Poor Customer Service. I found it mighty coincidental that three of my business shirts had the exact same rip in the exact same location after using this dry cleaners. When I took the shirts in, I was told that rips on the elbows of shirts were very common. I put the shirt on to show the rips are on the upper portion of my left forearm. I left my contact information for the owner to contact me, and he did so, at 10pm, on a weeknight. He proceeded to tell me that I was wrong, and I should not doubt his ability to run his business. He told me that I could pay $45 to send the shirts off to a fabric institute who would determine which party was at fault for the damage. This is obviously a dry cleaning industry funded institute. After being told that I did not have to use his business, I ended the conversation. I'm appalled by the way the issue was handled by this business owner.
Laundry and Love. I used to only wash clothes at this location when my stackable at home would prolong my laundry burden. The laundry area is fairly clean, although the equipment is very old. I am actually disguisted by all laundry facilities because of the thought of washing your intimates with your neighbors. I guess I need to just wash clothes at home more often!! But, I digress. Regarding my experience, the "hostess" that assists during washing is nice, but I wondered why EVERYone that came in to pick up dry cleaning was so peppy! Not that people can't show appreciation, but goodness, you would think they were getting their clothes done for free. Well, now I know why. I had a pair of pants that never really complimented my figure. They were too big in some places and sort of too much in other areas. I wish I could remember her name, but the seamtress is fabulous! Her name sounds like a character in Disney movie...and she is just as animated. :0) She literally walked through every area of the pants with me to ensure I would be satisfied. She was so attentive, apologizing for touching me with cold hands and warning me when inserting a push pin. She gave me suggestions on what I NEEDED versus what I wanted done - but only because she knew it would be costly, as the pants were lined. I figured if I'm going to get them done, I wanted it to be right. She obliged. A day and a half later, the anticipation in my gut was soothed by the pleasure of a well fit pant. Although my bill was bit much (but I was warned), they were PERFECT! Like PERFECT! Like in a "Bridget Jones" accent "PERFECT!" They didn't sag, bag, or hang. EVERYTHING she suggested worked out...PERFECTLY. So much, that I am going through my closet to see what else I can take to be adjusted! Now I'll be the peppy one walking through the door! :) Be Fabulous!
