When creating a list of Irish pubs in Atlanta, it'd be a mistake to omit this Buckhead favorite, Fado. The trademark woods throughout, European soccer leagues and of course, the perfect pour of Guinness have folks coming back again and again.
I'm not a big drinker, but Fado is my favorite bar. Their rooftop patio is the best in Buckhead.
Awesome Atlanta Party.
We came to Atlanta with no idea of a place to go out for a Bachelor party. We spoke with several people at hotels and restaurants and nobody seemed to be able to provide a place where we would have a definate good time. I found Fado on the internet and decided to check it out.
Im soooo glad we did. The bar was packed with upscale people that all seemed to be there for the same reason, to have a great time! The bar was three levels, including a rooftop bar complete with a fireplace. The bottom floor transformed into a small dance floor around 11pm.
The staff was kind, speedy and assisted in our good time! The bar was spacious enough that we were not bumping into other people, but plenty of people to mingle with. The decor is that of an authentic Irish pub straight out of Dublin. Didnt get a chance to try the food, but wouldnt be surprised if it was just as good as the Guiness!
The bar was incredible and dont think we could have had a better time anywhere else! If I return to Atlanta a trip to Fado is definately in the cards!
Change can kill. I went to the old location back in 07 and was blown away. The decore gave you the feeling of an old irish pub and the food was rocking. Went back to it after a few years to the new location and just felt it to be sub par. The new look just makes it feel way too much like another major chain. the food also seemed to be lacking.
NO PLACE LIKE HOME!. THIS IS LIKE MY SECOND HOME. I STOP HERE AFTER WORK, GREAT STAFF, GOOD DRINKS AND GREAT ATMOSPHERE.
Favorite Bar in Atlanta!. This is one of my favorite bars in Atlanta- I love the atmosphere. Every time I visit Atlanta, I make sure I pay a visit to Fado!
Nice casual pub and fun!. Wow this is my first Irish pubs to go to and I really enjoy!
I miss the old location but the new one's cool too.
I use to go to the old location in the old Buckhead and loved it; back when the decor was ridiculously bad-assed, crowded and fun as hell.
I don't like the new one as much, but it's still pretty fun - and all of the old things, like the beer & food & people are still there.
If you've not checked it out yet - I definitely suggest adding it to your list of visits.
good place. The place was good.. i enjoyed every minute we stayed there with my friends ... It was relaxing , though it was the first time went to Fado.. the service was perfect!
Great place to catch the world cup. Good old Irish pub, with good food, drinks, and a great atmosphere. There's a great rooftop bar to spend during those summer nights.
World Cup. World Cup watching at its best in the US Fado is where you want to be thumbs up...
