The new 3-level Fado was created in Dublin by the Irish Pub Co. and was shipped to Atlanta during the winter of 2007 for installation.

Regulars will recognize much from the previous location and will enjoy new features including the new hand milled bar, the "Grand House" area with oversized fireplace, the mezzanine's Celtic art inspired by St. Patrick's arrival in 432 A.D., and the rooftop patio complete with stone walls and large murals depicting Ireland's rugged landscape. The heated floor on the rooftop deck is a modern day touch; we didn't think the whole pub should just feel like Ireland.

There are changes to the food, food presentation, and the European drinks menu. The new Fado is a great place to socialize, watch a Irish or European match, and is the perfect setting for corporate and private events. Come by the new pub and get to know the new Fado.

Editorial Review for Fado Irish Pub – by Jake Sussman

The Scene
For many, this pub is the one place in Buckhead they don't mind going. Its unpretentious vibe and running tap keep a party going most nights, especially on weekends. Inside, there's enough memorabilia to cover the walls of an Irish museum. Once you recover from the initial blarney blast, take a minute to soak in the menu's hearty Irish fare. A few continental favorites stand by to rescue culinary xenophobes.

The Draw
Young, upwardly mobile professionals colonize this Guinness and Bass factory from the time they leave work until they go home to slumber. Live Irish music and televised soccer matches on weekends attract the serious Gaelics and an international crowd. Fado also serves well-respected pub food, making it a popular lunchtime destination for Buckhead workers. The specialty is boxty, an Irish rolled potato pancake stuffed with a choice of seafood, Cajun meats, steak or veggies.

Insider Tips

When to Go

Given its international clientele, Fado makes a great place to watch European football (ahem, soccer) and rugby. It opens as early as 6am on game days

What to Drink

Non-drinkers should try the Lucozade, a fizzy version of Gatorade not readily available in the U.S. It comes in original, lemon and orange flavors.

Went to Fado's on Friday night and ended up on the terrace .. first off if you are going to build a terrace that is 3 flights of stairs it might be wise to put restrooms on that floor. Another thought is if you have a bar on that floor, you may want to consider offering the same beer optinos as the fist floor. Our waitress was downright rude.. I ordered a Sam Summer and was told that she did not have it up here and it was too busy for her to go downstairs to get it. So i went and got it myself ! Great service huh? needless to say her tip reflected the fact that she did not do her job. Too bad too we had a table of 8 and we are usually very generous with the tip. When she brought the food she just aobut threw it on the table and walked away don't know what her problem was but maybe she should look into a new career. The food was ok i would not order the Salmon Botxy's there were what appeared to be four flat tater tot's with a few pieces of salmon on them, not worth it. I probably will only go back if friends are meeting there but other than that there are plenty of places to go that have better service and much better food. I will say th ebartenders down stairs were very good and kept up with the crowd, we did not wait long for drinks and they were very friendly.
